Thank you both for the reply and sorry for my delay. I have looked into the system help files, but it sure seem that the security portion of the help files came from the wrong version.
I will instead look into having the employee use the Manager (like I do) instead of the web portal and see...
Hello and thanks to everyone for the great help in the past.
I have search everywhere but I could have missed a posting.
I setup an IPO 500v2 running 9.1.10
Users have grown and HR wants me to give another employee right to do simple stuff like change extension names, button, reset VM...
I am still fighting this problem, any help would be greatly appreciated!!
I sent a trace to Flowroute and this was their response.
Thanks for the capture. The capture shows that your system is showing your private IP address 192.168.21.60 in your signaling SIP Contact header, which causes no...
Just an update:
Adding a STUN server (Tried a few different ones) corrects the Contact Header format and changes the Firewall/NAT Type to "Port Restricted Cone NAT" and sets the Public Port to 49153. When the STUN server set the Public Port to 49153 I get no audio. I set the Public Port back...
Hello everyone,
For some reason I can get version 8.0 (46) to show the correct Contact header information, as shown below:
Contact: <sip:72777XXXXX@192.168.21.60:5060;transport=udp>;expires=60
It is showing the internal IP and I have tried the following:
Use Network Topology Info (both) LAN1...
Thanks everyone!
@Joe, so you think all the systems they way they are, are fine for the SCN. I was under the impression the VMPro was very picky about version while the SCN just needed to be within one major release.
Mike
Not running UCM VMPro is running on a 2008 server. I am just really worried about downgrading the 9.0 IPO to 8.0 and the configuration becoming corrupt.
Update question.
All the site in a SCN have 8.0 (43) except 2 and another one that will added.
Sites 1-7 are part of a SCN
Sites 1-5 have 8.0 (43)
Site 6 has 8.0 (53)
Site 7 has 8.1 (43)
New site (Site 8) has 9.0.500.972 with VMPro
My question is should I downgrade all sites to 8.0 (43)...
Not sure if port 5005 will help for SIP, I think it's for monitoring H.323 traffic.
ALG caused us lots of problems, turning it off helped. Also we had customers that had the exact same problem you are having over Cable modems and they said their internet was fine, but when it came time for...
I open the port:
5060 UDP/TCP
5061 UDP/TCP
49152-53246 UDP
5005 UDP
You might get away with opening less ports, but this is what I have always done. It would be nice to close down any ports that are not necessary.
Also make sure in the router that ALG is turned "OFF"
Mike
As Intrigrant suggested, if they are bring in a new line, you could always setup a route to different Gateways (modems).
Have the LAN port on router 1 and 2 connected together with a hub.
Router 1 LAN IP: 192.168.1.1
Router 2 LAN IP: 192.168.1.2
In the IPO under IP Routes tell the IPO which...
All mine run using the LAN port behind a firewall (LAN Network). I set the IPO to use the Firewall's internal IP as the IPO's Gateway. On the other side of the Firewall we have two internet connections (for fail-over). We let the Firewall keep the internet up for us.
In your setup, are the SIP...
Thank you.
I did notice that one of the locations is at 8.1 (43) without any additional licenses. Is this because it was raised to 8.1 during the 90 day window?
I hate this licensing stuff!!
Mike
Hello All,
I just want to make sure that I am correct and I have all the required licenses before sending a tech to all the locations and upgrading 8.0 to 8.1
All units have the Essential Edition, which I think is all I need.
Thanks,
Mike
What is it doing or not doing?
I have setup all my locations with 2 different SIP providers.
All I had to do is create 2 "SIP Lines" that have different Incoming and Outgoing groups. Then in the ARS point to the Correct outgoing group to make the call and set the Incoming group in the...
Nope, no network assessment. I was told to install, make it work then leave.. I told them I would be happy to look at their network before, during, and even now. I think they just have crappy internet at those troublesome locations. Oddly enough (yeah right), their VPN and internet connection...
Sorry for the late response, fires everywhere!
No QOS is done at any location, I will look into getting this setup.
I will have someone look at the fax machines too. They are currently not faxing over the SCN, but that is something they will be doing in the future.
Thanks for all the input...
