Hi to all.

I usually configure SIP TRUNK for AVAYA IP OFFICE with only 1 SIP PROVIDER.
But with this new client they have different two (2) SIP Provider with different GATEWAY. And i just cant configure the two of them to work.

Hoping for your help. Thanks in advance.

What is it doing or not doing?

I have setup all my locations with 2 different SIP providers.

All I had to do is create 2 "SIP Lines" that have different Incoming and Outgoing groups. Then in the ARS point to the Correct outgoing group to make the call and set the Incoming group in the "Incoming Call Route"

Make sure the "Incoming Number" and the Line Group is correct within Incoming Call Route
I hope this helps.

Mike

And set the correct gateway for each SIP line within IP routing.

Hi Mike,

Thank you for your response. Procedure is for the programming. How about the Phsical connections? 2 SIP PROVIDER will be providing 2 routers / modems right?

LAN 1 - first SIP Provider
WAN - 2nd SIP Provider?

is this right?

My connection: LAN is connected to local switch for IP Phones
and my WAN is connected directly to the router of the 1 SIP Provider. Leaving the other SIP TRUNK no connection.

All mine run using the LAN port behind a firewall (LAN Network). I set the IPO to use the Firewall's internal IP as the IPO's Gateway. On the other side of the Firewall we have two internet connections (for fail-over). We let the Firewall keep the internet up for us.

In your setup, are the SIP providers bring in a new line?

As Intrigrant suggested, if they are bring in a new line, you could always setup a route to different Gateways (modems).

Have the LAN port on router 1 and 2 connected together with a hub.

Router 1 LAN IP: 192.168.1.1
Router 2 LAN IP: 192.168.1.2

In the IPO under IP Routes tell the IPO which Gateway .1 or .2 to get to the right SIP provider.

You'll need to check if the providers use the same adress for their Media Servers as where you registers the trunk, otherwise it could be hard to route different RTP streams the correct route.
If they can't specify which RTP servers they use you might need to implement an SBC.
