Hi all,
I have a 9.1 Essential edition IP Office with two combo cards and a digital card. Nothing odd about the hardware. The time is frozen at 10/26/2000. We can change the time (Hour and Minute), but it does not move. We have tried all the time setting changes and multiple reboots. This system...
Thank You Kyle. The phone was designed for use in Broadsoft environment. Pricing is excellent and the phone is small. I'm asking one of my suppliers to test the J179 with a Grandstream system and see if it functions properly. This supplier sells both solutions.
Many of you know that there are two versions of the new Avaya J series phones. There is the IP Office version and the OPEN SIP version designed to break into the Polycom dominated space. Has anyone tested the J179 Open Sip phone with Freepbx? If so, what works and what doesn't work. TIA
One of my clients changed carriers recently. The new carrier is a SIP provider. A call was attempted from a copper line from Verizon to the SIP provider. The caller hears "All Circuits are busy". Same caller uses cell phone and gets in no problem. I called from my Comcast line and get to SIP...
I think you may have nailed it. My technician was reading your answers and he said that is exactly what is happening. Thank You!! I will talk to my client about the solution!!
As stated, It is an IP Office Essential Edition. It has automated attendant. Comcast delivers an interruptive or "Stutter" dialtone if they have a new voicemail. We did not ask the Comcast engineer if voicemail was turned on (by accident). It was not supposed to be on. The PBX answers calls. We...
Our company has a client that is receiving a call every 17 seconds. The call is made to the main number (POTS from Comcast via EMTA. It rings the main number for 15 seconds, disconnects and calls back within 2 seconds. The caller ID is symbols - see attachment. If the system is put in night mode...
The problem was two-fold. The client gave us several non-working phone numbers and my tech did not add 50:Main in the short code. The human error threw us off.
Thank You all! My tech fixed issue with your help. Now the IP Office can use *600, *601 etc to perform system speed dial. It is one of the things you need to do to emulate the Avaya Partner ACS.
Sorry, Intrigrant. In fact, the IP Office was developed in the UK. I am getting more comfortable with code instead of password. Our acronyms in the US can be terrible. It is a language by itself.
I think my tech made a simple mistake. He did not look at ARS when setting up. His question to me will be "why can I dial the number manually on the keypad?"
By the way, I worked for AT&T in the 1989-1991 timeframe. The jargon we use for area code was NPA. The Exchange was NXX. The line number...
My tech cannot make speed dialing work using a short code or directory. It works fine for traditional toll numbers, but not toll free. We replaced a Partner ACS and the customer has been using [feature] 600, 601, 602 etc. He created a short code *600 and entered the action as "Dial" and tried...
