Hi all,
I have a 9.1 Essential edition IP Office with two combo cards and a digital card. Nothing odd about the hardware. The time is frozen at 10/26/2000. We can change the time (Hour and Minute), but it does not move. We have tried all the time setting changes and multiple reboots. This system was running as essential its whole life. I took it out of service a few years ago and we are now using it for a move for a client.

We have installed and moved hundreds of these systems. We never saw this before. Ideas?

Try changing the file writer IP address to 255.255.255.255, or to the IP of the machine generally used for maintenance.

If you have DNS configured properly on the 500, try changing the time source to SNTP and a public time server ie: utcnist.colorado.edu, 128.138.140.44, time.windows.com.

The harware RTC chip is defective, it will be visible in monitor.
Replace the unit and send it in for repair or dispose it.

My tech will try this. I think "intrigrant" has seen this before.
