How can I use the same password as the extension for these clients? I've turned down the security settings in system-telephony-telephony and in the security settings. I can also login IP phones and the communicator with these credentials. With workplace, I have to use an 8 character...
We had a couple users change their password on the communicator and ultimately locked themselves out. I've looked through the 46xxsettings file and (very well could have missed it) didn't see anything. Anybody know if there's a way to disable the ability for users to change their own passwords?
Server edition r11.1.1, trying to get spaces with sso working. I can manually configure workplace and it works. I can enter my email address and use those creds to login to the app. When that happens, the app says invalid server identity. When I look at the services tab in the app, they're all...
Has anyone experienced this? I typically see this if I leave manager open too long without making any changes but this time I created an offline config and when I pushed it, it failed. Somehow, I was able to get it to save but it took a while. What could be causing this?
Has anyone don't this? Avaya has a program called the Avaya one-X® Communicator Centralized
Administration Tool. I searched the support site and came up short. We have roughly 500 communicators to install. Any amount of streamlining would be fantastic. We have a solution to install the actual...
Anyone know of a way to deploy this in a mass scale fully configured? Is there a config file/registry edits/ect that can be done via an automated service? Thanks
Can someone help me find the documentation to get started with this? I've seen a few forums around it but the docs they mention turn up nothing on google and the support site. Thanks!
We have two different systems that use the same service provider, same ipo version, ect. Endpoint is a communicator
When sending a dtmf tone with one, the ipo sends an INFO packet. The service provider rejects this as unsupported media type.
The other solution sends an OPTIONS packet. This...
Thanks Janni. Just went and skimmed the app notes... not thinking the amazon basic ones are going to work. Looks like they all are "plug and play" if they're going to work. Thanks for your help. I'll keep skimming and see what if anything else pops up.
anyone know if the buttons on bluetooth headsets can be used to answer/hang up calls? For simplicity sake, let's say the user went out and bought one that has a "multi function button" on it that claims it can be used for such a thing
just my opinion... but the amount of time spent trying to troubleshoot it isn't worth it. reloading it takes almost the same amount of time. plus... it's a clean install
@eadams, what people are saying for the vpn is the 9608s have an ipsec vpn client on board the phone. you can simply configure this and the phone will function like it's in the office. get your google-fu on to find the settings for your firewall to get it setup...
at 9.1, the communicator on a...
i'd take a backup and just reinstall it as opposed to upgrade. it's almost the same amount of time and far less than troubleshooting it. plus... clean install
Where did you find the 1 to 2 and 1 to 3 for TLS? Also, my mind is a little blown at the moment. One-x doesnt contribute to the capacity of softphones? Could you help me understand this better?
I actually found it in the "Deploying Avaya IP Office™ Platform Server Edition Servers as Virtual Machines" doc. Since one-x powers these users, I'm assuming that's the limitation. If you check it out, there's more detailed guidelines than just user counts.
