I always just use the same installer. I install to C:\AlohaCFC (or whatever path) for the first instance using the executable directly, then use a command prompt for the second. Via command prompt, path to the install executable folder, then run the executable in the next line and name the...
Does the controller already have an NCR base image on it? Assuming you aren't using RAL, the basic things like IP address should be like any other windows device. What OS is on the controller?
Once grind is run, the ADJTime.dbf has current day time records and GNDBrkInfo.dbf has breaks. Be cautious, though, as employee ss#'s are not masked in these files.
The file needs to go into New Data, not data. I'm not sure why it is handled that way, but our system putsit into New Data and it shows in New Data on POS terminals as well, never being moved to data. It works properly with our mock .sch files.
It sounds like you're trying to round up for a donation/fundraising type thing. I know NCR has a "Round it up America" plug in for Aloha POS. However, I'm not sure if it works if you aren't using that specific program.
I've had this problem ever since I moved to Windows 7 on our machines. If the terms are manually set to correct time zone, it seems to pick it up, but it won't adjust the time zone at all.
If you are not on Windows 7, I suggest making sure it's correct on the BOH machine, going into the data...
You'll have to set up the ip address, computer name, and the "term" variable in the batch file that starts Aloha Kitchen. (same basic setup as a terminal)
We had an issue with files getting stuck when we transferred to windows 7 on the server and POS Ready 7 embedded on the terminals. NCR suggested we add these lines in the registry. Not sure if it will help in your situation, but it did in ours.
1. Open Windows Registry Editor using...
@AlohaRoss -
There are a lot of processes that seem to take more steps with programming using CFC. And the old "copying in dbf's from a previous day to fix an issue" doesn't work the way one would like it to. But from a centralized management standpoint, it is so much easier to manage the...
The "apply next day's data" actually applies tomorrows events, price changes, etc...
If you're using CFC, bmp images must be uploaded into the Media Files section in Maintenance>System Settings>Media Files to be kept after refresh.
This is less of a technical and more of a hardware question...
Has anyone encountered the problem of biometric readers in a quick service/drive thru environment failing due to sun exposure? If so, any ideas for a shield or cover for these? We currently use a Panasonic Lite-Ray terminal with...
The terminals should update automatically to the newer version-a refresh should copy in the bin files, as long as you moved from table service to table service or quick service to quick service. If a term install is needed, you don't need a new version of it - you can use the old version; it...
I haven't tested it, but I was told by an NCR technician if you turn off "verify data" for a specific back office security level it will not show up upon logging out of Aloha Manager when logged in with that security level. (in Config center it's under security roles, in aloha manager under...
If your system has multiple IP addresses, you might need to program the Aloha Nic card address into the local settings file xml file. That file can be found in the Aloha Kitchen data folder. If this is the issue, the debout in the aloha kitchen tmp folder would mention that the system found...
