After upgrading from 6.4.20 to 6.5.xx I get the message "The user can not be validated for login to the system". Need some help please and thank you.

Did you perform a dbconfig on your data/new data folders? It might not be able to read the emp.dbf file.

However you gave me an idea; I copied back up copies in the the data and newdata folders and it prompted me for a stronger password; now I'm in! Great job!
