Thanks for the suggestion amridle. I had set the sip alg to off on the routers (Draytek) when I was trying to get the Iphone clients to work.
I re-enabled it on both routers but unfortunately it did not solve the problem of no audio from the analog trunks. It did however stop the audio from the...
I can do that tomorrow.
Seeing that the Gigaset works on the local LAN and all my problems (including the iPhone sip client) are with the remote VPN why do you think that the problem is with the gigaset setup and not something in IPO?
I would still appreciate it someone could explain the...
I understand that there is a priority but I believe that the short codes still have to be entered by the user.
I am looking for a way that the short code for line selection will be executed automatically when the extension goes off hook. Is this possible?
I believe the codec is correct as it works when going extension to extension.
The Gigaset base station is a N510 IP pro
BTW I have the same audio problem when using an Iphone Client (Bria or 3cxx) so I am pretty sure that the issue is the IPO not routing from the external network to the analog...
I have an iproute without which I believe the calls will not go through at all.
The calls ring the appropriate number but just have no audio if routed via the VPN to the IPO and then to the PSTN
I appreciate you patience
Thank you for your response. I tried this and it has had the opposite effect. If I disable direct media path then I can no longer get audio from one extension to the other as well!.
This may help in identifying the problem. When Direct media path is disabled the call is routed through the...
I have 3 analog trunks on an IP office V8 system. Each trunk has a different outgoing line ID
Is it possible to specify somewhere that a particular extension should use a predetermined line ID by default?
I have have a Gigaset IP phone system connected via a VPN to the IP Office v8 system. The Gigaset has 3 sip accounts configured as 3rd party IP extensions.
The Gigaset works perfectly when calling extension to extension but as soon as I try to use the Gigaset to either call or receive from the...
I have an IP office R8 system with 9608 handsets and 3 analog trunks.
Is there any way to have a different ring tone to indicate which trunk the call is coming from?
I have changed the back-light time out on my 9608 phones using the entry in 46xxsettings.txt.
This appears to be a global setting and applies to all phones.
Is there a way to apply it to only one phone?
Thanks for that. I had missed the field for line ID
I am not wedded to the Snom DECT phones. If it was up to you what would you reccomend for portables?
Thank you once again for your answer.
I assumed I can select a particular line by building a short code to select the line ID.
I have been through the help file and cannot locate the relevant code. Can you please tell me what it is called?
With regards to the Snom. I am certainly not wedded...
Thanks for the reply.
It is an IPO. I am new to IPO so please can you detail how I set up the prefixes on an IPO system?
What would you suggest as portables instead of the Snom?
I am considering adding DECT portables (probably SNOM M9) to my V8 office system.
I have 3 analog trunks. Is it possible to select which trunk will be used for dialling out?
I cant find a short code to do this. Is there another way?
