I am considering adding DECT portables (probably SNOM M9) to my V8 office system.

I have 3 analog trunks. Is it possible to select which trunk will be used for dialling out?
I cant find a short code to do this. Is there another way?

Key system and cheap flakey phones!
Do you want to loose this customer :)

You could do this with different prefixes on an ipo.

I'm not insane, my mother had me tested!

Thanks for the reply.

It is an IPO. I am new to IPO so please can you detail how I set up the prefixes on an IPO system?

What would you suggest as portables instead of the Snom?

Snom phones are cheap and not very well build.
But you won't be cheap because it is a sip phone and needs an expensive third party ip endpoint license.
When you want to use a specific trunk then build a shortcode and point it to the ARS or line id.
When you need to do this on multiple trunks then you can use different prefixes in shortcodes to the right line id.

Thank you once again for your answer.

I assumed I can select a particular line by building a short code to select the line ID.

I have been through the help file and cannot locate the relevant code. Can you please tell me what it is called?

With regards to the Snom. I am certainly not wedded to it. If you were designing a system what would you specify as portable extensions?

Thanks in advance

Your trunks do have an outgoing line id.
You could build an ARS for each separate trunk.
Build a user shortcode with for example a 5 as prefix

5N
Dial
N
Line ID trunk or ARS.

Thanks for that. I had missed the field for line ID

I am not wedded to the Snom DECT phones. If it was up to you what would you reccomend for portables?

I would use IPdect or analog dect phones if it must be cheap like Gigaset dect phones.
