I have an Exchange 2010 server which is proving to be a challenge where configuring antispam is concerned. It is a hub role server, with only a firewall in front of it. It has the antispam feature installed.
I am finding the following issues:
Opening the ECM, selecting properties of Content...
I have a MICS 7.0 and a NAM 4.1 in which I need to set up two extensions that dial outside numbers when a call comes to them.
I set up the numbers in FWD NO ANS and set the rings to 2, but after a single ring the call goes straight to VM.
The one thing here is that the extensions are ghosts...
I am curious as you did not state the actual exact procedure you used to install the card....slot,IRQ, steps etc etc. as this might help with people here troubleshooting with your issue."
Counting from the right side, where the floppy is attached to the inside wall of the cabinet, the first...
First of all, I want to thank you for the the response. You gave me a lot of details that I haven't been able to dig up myself.
Here is what I am thinking about each of the items:
1) BIOS: I understand that there are no issues with the vm associated with the BIOS. What I wanted to know is...
I have a NAM II running 4.1, and have the following questions:
1) The board is an IBM board, but I haven't found anything about it using the IBM FRU number. Does anyone know anything about those boards, specifically a) what the model is, b) whether there is a BIOS flash update.
2) It is...
I have a MICS 7 with stations that have lines assigned to them in a hunt group. That was working fine until about a week ago, when they first reported crackling, and then reported that they do not get any dial tone when they lift their receivers.
When I lift the receiver on one of those...
I see that the members of hunt group 1 are ringing before aa picks up. the lines are assigned to hunt group 1. aa is set to pick up on zero rings. the members do not have lines directly assigned.
I don't see how to set a delay before the hunt group rings in order to give the aa time to pick up...
on a MICS 7.1 with a NAM II 4.1, an AA is set up with a CCR tree.
several (but not all) DNs are ringing immediately when a call comes in, and then the AA picks up and plays the comp greeting followed by the CCR menu.
what would cause this behavior ?
much better now.
thank you.
last question here (I hope).
I oflow hg01 to hg02. on no answer, I want hg02 to oflow into general delivery mailbox.
from the CCR tree, I want press zero and do nothing to go to hg01.
if I assign F982 (system atendant) to 739 (HG01), then do nothing follows press...
Now I feel guilty.
I will try to spell out more clearly what I want, so that those of you who have kindly responded won't spin their wheels needlessly.
Even so, I have certainly learned new things here, and thank everyone.
What I needed to explain is that I have a hunt group which I want to...
thanks for the replies.
now I understand how to accomplish the first task.
what I wanted to know in the second question is how to set up a DN without a physical phone to forward, but not to a voice mail box, but rather to another extension, as though it were on cover and covered to another...
the trunks are pots
allworxguy, do you mean that I should create a mb with the same number as the DN, but not set any mb number ?
what mb does the DN forward to ?
can I change that ?
how do you open a mb without a number ?
ot, can I set a station without a physical phone to cover to a...
I have a MICS 7.1 with a NAM II 4.1
I need to program a station which does not have a physical phone to go immediately to voice mail when it receives a call.
Is there a way to do that ?
thanks to everyone. I got in on the LAN connection using Norstar Voicemail Manager.
just a quick clarification:
in CCR,
if I press zero, the call goes to the atdt assigned to the greeting table which has the CCR tree assigned
if I press nothing, the call goes to the same place
the...
Thank you for the reply and explanation.
There are two sets of lines because there are two groups of people answering phones. One group needs external calls coming from one external number (which is set up at the CO to roll to the other lines assigned to that group), while the other group needs...
The NAM is 4.1 and it does have both a NIC and a video card. Hooking up the video card soes me an OS/2 desktop, and telnetting into the IP gives me an OS/2 command prompt.
Thank you very much for taking out the the time to give me such a detailed answer.
I had an implicit understanding of the existence of physical vs. virtual DNs, but I have never seen it spelled out this way.
Just to be sure that I have this right, let me say this in my own words, and please...
Thanks for the reply.
I have the NAM manual, and have read through the CCR section, as well as the rest of it, but I didn't find answers to my specific questions.
Thanks for the reply.
If I look up the attendant DN (NAM > 983,aa,table,'1',next to 'atdt') I see 739.
If I look up the hunt group DN (MICS > sys pgmg, hunt groups, list) I see HG01 (739).
The system actually rings the members of that hunt group before the auto attendant picks up after the...
If a NAM with a MICS is set up for a call to be handled by CCR, and the atdt and a hunt group are both using DN 739, what is the resulting call path ? My understanding is that the call path is controlled by the CCR unless zero is pressed, at which point the call is forwarded to the hunt group...
