I can't click on Tools or Help without a menu bar.
I tried renaming normal.dot and that didn't help.
The menu bar doesn't appear anywhere on the screen.
Any other thoughts?
One of the PCs in our office has lost it's menu bar in Outlook 2000. I've worked with toolbars -- showing and hiding them, but have always had the menu bar. Any ideas?
I have one PC having trouble printing envelopes to a specific printer. Other PCs can print to the printer with no problems.
When this person sends an envelope to print (from Word 2000), she gets a message "there is insufficient memory or disk space. Word cannot display the requested...
Another individual created a spreadsheet and now the top 4 rows are not visible (the first Row says 5). I've checked and they do not indicate hidden (unhide doesn't do anything).
In Print Preview, I see them. Any thoughts? This one has me stumped.
Well, frustration is setting in. I deleted the table, re-added the table, and the old numbers came back. Then I deleted the file that I was importing data from (so that those old numbers had to be gone. I went back into my main file, deleted the table, then deleted the old information from...
I have a spreadsheet with separate tabs for 8 offices. Each tab then has a Excel database query set up to pull information from 8 files that the offices update monthly. A simple "refresh data" is all that should be necessary monthly to update the spreadsheet.
One tab is not working...
A user has just informed me that when he tries to use symbols (ie: bullets, happy faces, etc.) they look correct on screen and in Print Preview. However, they print as something else (box, E, etc.).
Any ideas? All other PCs in the office are fine.
Thank you for your help. "New window" was the issue, I must have hit it accidentally. I'd never worked with that area, and I'm not even sure when you'd want to use it. Any thoughts on that?
In the process of making changes to a file over the last couple of days, now, each time I open this file, I get 2 copies of it opened -- when I click on Window in the menu, I see filename:1 and filename:2.
If I close either 1, they both close. They seem to be the same file, but it is confusing...
Many of my PCs are shared by a few users, so this wouldn't be real handy. Any other ideas out there?
Also, what do you mean by "proxy" in -- this sounds interesting.
I "tried" to set up my first Windows 2000 Professional PC yesterday. In general, the program was good; however, I ran into problems after installing all of the programs, setting them up, and creating icons under my username and then letting the person who will be using the computer...
When Word opens, shouldn't it start in "Document1"? I've noticed recently that this number keeps getting bigger and bigger "Document16". Is there a way to reset this? Or does it matter?
Using the following IF formula, you can do 8 different rates, but because you can only nest 7 IF functions, I don't know if a way to do 13.
=IF(A4>10000,A4*C4,IF(A4>9000,A4*C5,IF(A4>8000,A4*C6,IF(A4>7000,A4*C7,IF(A4>6000,A4*C8,IF(A4>5000,A4*C9,IF(A4>4000,A4*C10,IF(A4>3000,A4*C11,A4*C12))))))))...
We have 2 PCs that print fine from most programs; however, in Excel, no matter what font is chosen, it prints "very large." We have found that this is only true to a particular HP4100 laser printer. When the print to a different printer, the font looks like it should. Any ideas?
It is completely within Excel. You create the form, save it, and then follow the Template Wizard. For more info in Help, look under Template Wizard with Database Tracking
I have created a form that I want to have a database created from. I used the template wizard to link all of the appropriate fields to a database. The wizard finished with no error messages, but when I File/New and complete the form, no information flows to the database. Any ideas what I did...
