We have just installed a Spectralink 3000. Everythink is great but can only access through direct null cable to the computer terminal. Can anyone please walk me through setting this up for modem access. Polycom says it's an IT issue an won't help unless we buy a maintenance plan..we just had...
perry you may have something that i've been just over looking. I need remote access!!! so from a hot 500 shouldn't have an issue ringing a 2616 and a 500 at same time if they have same DN??? I thought I tried that but kept getting call arrangement errors. Maybe I need to have same DN at each...
No the 2616 is not but the 500 are the same, but as long as it will work I can change the DN's to whatever..this is a big issue, well to me it is..I said it will work and I can't get it with out a trunk..ps. doesnt have to go outside our own PBX
we have 3 separate emergency "war rooms" per say. I have 1 500 phone and 1 2616 phone in one location if you pick up either one it needs to ring both the 2616 and 500 phones at a different location. My Hot will only ring 1 2616 and not the 500 (analog) phone..I can setup my 2616 to ring 2 500...
oh ok..thanks G and trvlr for explaining. Not sure if have totally got it but i'll try it.
Thanks..
That wasn't a big issue anyway..my next post is huge I need to find a way if at all possible..keep a look out
yeah trvlr not sure why we are using DID's don't need to it's a waste...I'm going to change them all to non DID..
And I guess I'll just use different DN's for each location so I can name them..unfortually going to be a pain to change we have a lot of them.
******** Does anyone know why after...
We have an ARD using two 500 phones (separate locations) using hot with the same DN but two different TN's going to a 2616 phone. I know you can name a DN in ld 95 but would like to name the TN's separetly so that the caller ID on the 2616 will show where call is originating.
I may have to...
ok thanks,I guess I will have to go with the DSP...
Rickypone: sorry that was a valid question some people are lazy, you should pickup the phone every time it rings......I wish I had time to....we need 3 new hires but that won't happen; not in this economy.
TRVLR1: OK, You are right.....yes there is a legitimate reason I'm asking this question...our team is responsable for all communications not just phones, we have to have some kind of priorities in place..We can't stop to turn off a message waiting light..maybe we need to add another line to...
Ricky: it's about priorities...I work where there are armed officers with machine guns everywhere...certain departments go to VM and we will get to them later..others are very critical if they have issues...If you don't know how to fix my issue then don't reply with a smart answer.
I had TDD in the CLS and it would log all missed calls, key 0 x2034 and our department line key 1 x2522 and I couldn't tell which line that the missed call came from key 0 or key 1, So I changed the CLS to ADD so it wouldn't log the missed call on key 1 because I only want to know what calls I...
I HAVE FIGURED OUT THE FIRST PART, I PUT ADD IN CLS BUT NOW THE CLID ONLY WORKS FOR KEY 0. HOW DO I GET CLID TO WORK ON THE OTHER KEYS AND OF COURSE LEAVE THE CALL LOG ONLY TO LOG KEY 0,MY COLLEUGES "PRIMARY #"??
ANYONE HAVE ANY IDEAS
THANKS FOR YOUR HELP
