I HAVE FIGURED OUT THE FIRST PART, I PUT ADD IN CLS BUT NOW THE CLID ONLY WORKS FOR KEY 0. HOW DO I GET CLID TO WORK ON THE OTHER KEYS AND OF COURSE LEAVE THE CALL LOG ONLY TO LOG KEY 0,MY COLLEUGES "PRIMARY #"??
I had TDD in the CLS and it would log all missed calls, key 0 x2034 and our department line key 1 x2522 and I couldn't tell which line that the missed call came from key 0 or key 1, So I changed the CLS to ADD so it wouldn't log the missed call on key 1 because I only want to know what calls I missed on my primary ext 2034 (key 0).....but with CLS ADD it only logs missed calls on key 0, which is what I want so I can tell that I missed a call on my ext (key 0)...But CLS ADD does not show me clid when someone calls on key 1 which I want to know if I'm sitting at my desk.
Is there anyway the phone can be programmed to log missed calls only on key 0, and keep the clid on key 1.
I know there is a way to program a display button to press when someone calls to see clid but we don't want to have to hit another button.
Ricky: it's about priorities...I work where there are armed officers with machine guns everywhere...certain departments go to VM and we will get to them later..others are very critical if they have issues...If you don't know how to fix my issue then don't reply with a smart answer.
Norteltek123 : I too have worked in very secure locations and compounds, with armed gaurds etc, some even complete with their own mine fields, so don't even consider that you are the only one who's "been there"!
The statement by RickyPone is actually quite legitimate, there are people out there who use caller ID to screen their calls and not do the job they have been given and are being paid to do. You do have a legitimate reason for wanting Caller ID, all you had to do was say that, there was no reason to come down on someone who may have the answer to your next question, but now will likely never help you out again.
TRVLR1: OK, You are right.....yes there is a legitimate reason I'm asking this question...our team is responsable for all communications not just phones, we have to have some kind of priorities in place..We can't stop to turn off a message waiting light..maybe we need to add another line to handle critical problems that will always be answered when called, but on the other hand everyone thinks their problem is critical when in fact it is not considered critical over the whole spectrum of our WAN and the federal governments regulations....and Perry I think you are right...I can't seem to figure out how to have both....so is everyone in agreement with Perry?
If you are on another call, pushing the DSP will allow you to see other calls coming in and determine if they were a high enough priority to go to, over the call you are already on.
ok thanks,I guess I will have to go with the DSP...
Rickypone: sorry that was a valid question some people are lazy, you should pickup the phone every time it rings......I wish I had time to....we need 3 new hires but that won't happen; not in this economy.
