No, that's the odd thing. It doesn't say shared, and the box under Tools > Share Workbook is not checked. We have found that if one of the users (only three have right to the folder) opens it first, the others get the Read-only message. But if either of the others opens it first, nobody gets...
Whoever saves first wins, and the one who lags behind is notified that the file has been saved by another user, and asked if they want to disgard the replace the previous user's revisions with their own.
Hardly a suitable option. Somebody loses... Thanks for any help you can give.

We have several files in a shared folder on the network. A new Excel worksheet (2003) has just been saved in that folder, and even though it is set up the same as the others (as far as we can tell) it allows several users in at the same time but does not give anyone the File in use message, and...
We have not tried copying the page, because at any given time, it could be any one of the 50+ pages in the workbook. This is so strange because it is stored on the same person's PC that created it, and even if she accesses it early in the morning, and leaves it open, then later goes back to it...
Oops - 2.7MB not GB. It's still large, but not that bad. Sorry. Thanks for the suggestions. I'll take a look. The odd part is that the same user can open it 4 or 5 times a day and it is fine. But about once a week or so, it looks "screwed up". We have been trying various things, but...
I have a user who has a 2.7Gb Excel 2003 file with about 50+ sheetsand lots of hyperlinks. Occasionally, she will notice that the column widths appear to have changed (smaller). I say appear to, because if she immediately sends the file to another user, they see it properly. The only way the...
Make sure when you go to Internet Explorer, Tools>Internet Options> Programs, that Outlook 2003 is noted as your default email program. It may be looking for your old program.

Oops - typo - should have said "I went".
After chart generated, I selected the chart, right click and choose Format Data Series, then under the options tab, change the number in the field that says "Second plot contains the last: # Values."

By using the data arranged like this, I was able to create a Pie of pie chart, with on ly one change from the default. I wern to Format Data Series > Options, and changed the 2nd plot to include the last 3 options instead of the default 2.

You don't mention what version of Outlook you use, but this will work in 2003. Maybe you can find similar options in other versions.
Select Tools > Options, click the Other tab, Advanced Options, and click the Reminder options button at the bottom. In here you have the ability to select your...
If I understand your question, you want the old folders to show up automatically in the Favorites of a new machine? That can't be done because the new install of Outlook assumes you will add favorites as they become your favorites (did that make sense?) But the easiest way to get them there is...
That issue happens with a lot of users. But just a heads-up, they say they are going to discontinue the service on February 6 anyway, so it will be a moot point.

Have you tried recording a macro using only keystrokes (no mouse clicks) to get through the dialog box?
(Or maybe I don't understand what you are trying to accomplish.)
Sawedoff
With the file open, go to Tools > Share workbook > and make sure the "Allow changes by more then one user at the same time" box is unchecked (on the Editing tab.)

You can put an autorun macro into the workbook to automatically go where you want when it opens. Then the link will open the file, and the macro will select the correct cell or sheet as soon as it is opened. It might look like this:
Sub Auto_Open()
Sheets("Sheet2").Select...
I think I would start by removing the Norton Anti-Spam, (because Microsoft endorses the ShareO) and see if that fixes it. If not, try removing the ShareO. You can always reinstall them, if neither proves to be the culprit.

There is no way in Outlook to do that, but Microsoft reccommends an add-in from Sperry Software that will do it for you, within Outlook. See this Link:
