Any luck on this?
I've got the exact same problem. Traceroute worked fine on Windows before we upgraded the PIX to version 7.0.2, but fails now, as we'd allowed inbound ICMP Unreachable and ICMP Time Exceeded traffic.
Traceroute from UNIX systems still works, no matter if it's configured to...
Looks live we've received one pair of 32MB DIMMS by mistake, as I've checked the markings on the relevant ICs.
Now stuck in a queue attempting to get them returned.
We've a pair of PIX 515E firewalls in a failover configuration which we want to upgrade to version 7.0(1) of the PIX software. This has entailed upgrading the memory from 64MB to 128MB.
However only one of the PIXs sees the whole memory - the other only finds 64MB. The memory appears to be...
Thanks - memory ordered.
It's a bit expensive, though. But then again this has always been a major cash cow for non-generic hardware vendors. I remember how much Banyan used to charge for memory for their own servers.
That's not really practical for around 100 users though, particularly as some only have access via OWA most of the time.
Are there any other solutions?
I've a pair of PIX 515E firewalls in a failover configuration. Both currently fitted with 64MB of RAM as a pair of 32MB DIMMS.
In order to run version 7 of the PIX software, we need to upgrade these machines to 128MB of RAM.
Can I fit 128MB as one DIMM, or do I need to install two pairs? Do...
Certain individuals in this company are susceptible to large amounts of spam. It gets delivered succesfully to their Junk E-mail folder using a combination of Brightmail and the Exchange 2003 settings. However these folders soon fill up.
Is there a way to automatically empty these Junk E-mail...
My organisation has recently installed a couple of Exchange 2003 servers into our Windows 2000 Active Directory domain, and migrated all of our mailboxes to them. Also the outbound SMTP connector has been moved to one of these servers, so the old Exchange 2000 server is pretty much idle, apart...
Found the problem - there's an existing NAT rule in place to translate the traffic outbound from this device, and adding a new rule conflicts with this.
Currently using a PIX to manage inbound access to a network quite securely. All hosts have 172.22.xx.xx style addresses and therefore those being accesses are NATed.
The problem is that I want to divert traffice destined for a particular port on one NATed box to the same port on another...
EPresence now belongs to Unisys, having been sold last year. The ePresence website no longer exists, and Banyan.com now belongs to an entirely different company.
Microsoft invested in Banyan, turning them into consulting company ePresence. Part of the Microsoft deal was that Banyan discontinued...
Currently testing a system on an isolated network comprising of just 2 Windows 2003 servers. Neither is a member of a domain.
I've got a service that needs to be able to write to a share on the other server. Is there any means of doing this just using a workgroup? Or do I have to bring online...
Wrong forum - this one's for Banyan's StreetTalk for NT, a product that's probably not being used anywhere in the world these days. Try somewhere more relevant.
