Saving Searches

In Windows NT I select Find Files or Folders from the start menu I then run my search. I want to Save this search but whenever I select Save Search nothing happens.

I have discovered that this is because it automatically saves the search to the desktop however I have no permissions to write to the desktop. Does anybody know where this this default save to desktop setting is so I can have it changed, have had a quick look around the registry etc but cant seem to find anything.
