I'm updating the signaling service pack on a CPDC Signaling Server.
I downloaded SP8 and saw that the 4 lose patches were included in the zip file. I know that I need to install these four patches before the SP. I also know you have to rename the SP with .ntl
My questions is this: Do I need...
I need a ProComm script that will make a call out the PC modem port every 90 seconds. Don't need to wait for an answer to the call but we need this to repeat the call setup continually without end. Seems like an easy script. Can anyone help?
I would think an SNMP power supply alarm would be a PWR or POWER alarm but apparently not
=> prt edt pw$
not in edt
=> prt edt po$
not in edt
Anyone know what the SNMP trap would be for a power supply failure would be from an E type switch?
We do much prefer to ask the carrier change it back to what the customer purchased and ordered (ground start). This is because the PBX can monitor and control the state of the trunk (on hook/off hook etc) much beter if the trunk is ground start (refered to as supervision). Although we can...
Wish I was experienced enough to understand this fully but if I were to take a best guess, I'd say replace the SSC mother board. Look at this solution I found on Avaya's website (below under Problem Clarification). The address doesn't match exactly but with the info you've provided, the puzzle...
Is there a command to ping in PDT? I know you can ping TO the IP address of the core. But we want to ping FROM the core to the CallPilot ELAN. Does anyone know how to use the ping command in PDT.
We have monitor turned on for a word in PDT and every time the OS writes to that word it prints out a line of data. How do we turn off monitoring for that word in PDT?
Print and post the Route Data Block. You may want to lower the setting for EOD. Try to hit the pound key right after dialing. If that resolves the issue decrease the EOD setting.
We upgraded and so we aren't using DBA anymore. How can we disable CDR in DBA?
After the CDB change LD 117 still shows CDR "ENL", see below.
I don't see LD 117 commands to disable the CDR buffering.
>*ld 117
OAM000
=> stat buf
CDR ENL
TRF DIS
STN DIS
Storage space is 0.9% full...
firmwareVersionShow is not an available Unix command. Of course we can get to the element manager at the main site and show the IP set firmware using the path that KFCLHRC shows but this is only available in Element Manager not in Base Manager.
We have Survivable Media Gateways with signaling servers that are members of the primary signaling server. In the past we have had trouble with the IP set firmware loaded on the remote sites when the survivable signaling servers became active. So we would like to check to see what IP set...
There are a number of threads going back several years and the popular response seems to be to quote the error code info in the NTP. So I've included that info in the subject. Does anyone have any specific information about how to get these to go away?
The new updated and unimproved Avaya Support website has some issues (to put it kindly).
You can still get to the old format website if you use the Firefox - Mozilla browser.
Thanks guys. I guess winscp is still a secret to many in the field. I have talked to Avaya support people that use it. I'll post the info when I find it. This is a great way to transfer patches and firmware files to the Call Server when you are not on site.
