Fixed!! Should anyone have this issue, (of the many ideas tossed about) the one that worked for us was to rename the twain file to ~twain.

Just my own observations, but the printer server will update the clients upon first use. You can avoid this by pushing the printers via GP (group policy)

Settings\Printers\Add Printer (use LPT1)
- choose HP---then Model laserjet 6p
- name it
- configure it
- send it to you users.

DO any of the "monitored" servers have a public address? I ask as there are dozens of free "very reliable" online monitoring sites, that one can refer :)

Not so sure you will be able to accomplish this with anything less than VBscript or just plain VB (Visual Basic) then. Can you check with the software support team to see if there is a "silent execution" command that can be used before tackling what I would say is expert and higher scripting...

I have installed Creative Suite CS3 and every application works just fine with the exception of Photoshop 3. It loads, you can see the Blue Load window, followed by the toolbars and then POOF it crashes and goes...
Could be just me here, but why not give them a logical name vs. making your users remember IP addresses? Could you give us a breakdown on your setup as there may be a much easier or better way to accomplish your request (running DNS etc...)
