Thanks for replies guys.
Only reason I am thinking of leaving Paris out is after reading some of the guides it mentions that if the 3300 loses communication with the DLM then it goes into Licence Violation after a period of time.
I dont want them affected by this if there is a major fault with...
Has anyone implemented the Designated License Manager (DLM) way of licencing their 3300 controllers?
We have a customer that has two 3300 MXe controllers with MCD6 located in London and have recently added a 3300 CX II with MCD6 located in Paris. All 3 systems are in the same Cluster and can...
The question is:Is there a better way (or simple way) of completing a move for two DNI extensions in MCD5.0?
We recently upgraded a customer site with 2x Mitel 3300MXe to 5.0 SP1 PR1. Originally they were on 4.0 and also using Ops mananger. Some of the extensions on site1 are DNI Superset 4025...
Yeah they are clustered.
We have only a few clustered systems and have not needed to have both systems use the voicemail before so I wasnt sure!
It makes sense now thinking about it as extensions know who is calling so why wouldnt the voicemail!
Thanks for the quick reply LoopyLou.
Having enabled the single embedded voicemail on system1 I assume it is still possible for the users on system2 to callforward to the voicemail on system1 and the voicemail will detect which mailbox to drop the call into?
We have a site configured with 2x 3300MXe controllers linked over a fibre link using Enterprise & Ops Managers. 3300s are running MCD4.0.
They are currently using a 3rd party voicemail connected to system1.
We are removing this voicemail so they can use the Embedded Mitel voicemail. However we...
Thanks LoopyLou!
On system to with the direct dials I added an "ars digit dialled" using the route over the ip trunks and it connected succesfully
thanks again!
Hi LoopyLou,
Sorry for the confusion. I am based in the UK.
DDI is a direct incoming telephone number. Both sites have PRI Trunks and the providers offer the system four digit presentation.
The numbers are programmed as required as extensions/multicall keys.
SBUS is a BRI Extension. On system1...
The subject line maybe confusing so here is the scenario
We have two networked Mitel3300 running MCD4.1 with their own DDI ranges.
We have SBUS at Site1
We want to use a DDI from Site2 to ring the SBUS at Site1
SBUS is configured correctly at Site1 testing ok internally.
I have setup ARS for...
Thanks guys. I have added that to my list of alternatives for the customer to consider. We are upgrading from an old Panasonic switch with line keys and virtual extension keys so they are used to mainline calls ringing at both locations at the same time.
I am hoping to convince them that with...
I did think of it as an alternative but know it would be rejected by the customer as all mainline calls needs to be answered by a person rather than a voicemail/auto-attendant during opening hours
Thanks kwb!
That is what I suspected.
I guess my next best option is to create a Softkey on the attendent and have that call reroute 1st alternative to a multicall key /ring group or hunt group on the admin phones.
I was hoping someone may be able to help with the following scenario.
We have a customer who wants to use a 5550 Console for a receptionist and 5340 handsets for admin staff located in a different part of the building. They want both the console and 5340s to ring at the same time for their...
Thanks very much for the responses.
Will use a different ars code for speedcalls and when people need to divert. We also use Call Rerouting and Night Mode so that is ideal.
Hi, We have a Mitel 3300MX 9.0.1.17
When making an outgoing call we use "Digit Modification Assignment" to add in the extension number using {<E>} in the "Digits to be Inserted". Our trunks detect this and we get Extension Billing from this. Calls connect fine.
However when an extension or...
