What is the best practice for Mitel Voicemail on two 3300systems 1

We have a site configured with 2x 3300MXe controllers linked over a fibre link using Enterprise & Ops Managers. 3300s are running MCD4.0.

They are currently using a 3rd party voicemail connected to system1.

We are removing this voicemail so they can use the Embedded Mitel voicemail. However we are not sure the best way to configure them due to the two systems.

Can you enable the voicemail only on one 3300 and the other 3300 can use that voicemail or do you have to enable the voicemail on both systems?
 
If you need them to act link a single voicemail then it would be best to only provision a single embedded voicemail.

The single biggest problem with communications is the illusion that it has taken place.

Having enabled the single embedded voicemail on system1 I assume it is still possible for the users on system2 to callforward to the voicemail on system1 and the voicemail will detect which mailbox to drop the call into?

Yeah they are clustered.
We have only a few clustered systems and have not needed to have both systems use the voicemail before so I wasnt sure!
It makes sense now thinking about it as extensions know who is calling so why wouldnt the voicemail!
 
We have 3 clustered MXe's with a hunt group of 5555 which exists on system 3 and contains all the sys3 vm ports, and all the other systems just forward their users over to 5555. Works well.
 
That is exactly how I had planned to implement the VM in this scenario but then doubt started creeping into my mind! Thanks for the reassurance Tom!
