Just out of curiousity, even if this location has the license for more terminals, if they do go over the 10 terminal limit, is there an additional license they then need to get to have 10+ terminals? I didn't know about this limit, although I do recall seeing locations have more than 10...
Since you have more than 10 terminals, can I assume all of the terminals are running XP?
-We only support the terminals used for this locations online ordering, so I don't know if they're using windows xp or not. I'd assume so, but that's more like a guess at this point. I can find out for...
So I tried deleting the trans.log and running iber but no luck. It runs for a couple of seconds and then stops. I did notice the following in the DEBRFS.20090609.12 log:
Jun 09, 19:00:55, [3472],[STATUS],,"Init().. Before call to Initialize()"
Jun 09, 19:00:55, [3472],[STATUS],,"Initialize()...
The only terminal doing this is terminal 12. I'll try first repairing the log file, then I'll delete it if the problem persist. Either way, I'll post results.
Thanks for the tip.
There are 10 terminals at present. Terms 1-10. Term 11 is not an order entry, and 12 and 13 are for their online ordering to use, so it's like a virtual server/interface. This is typical for us with client using Aloha 6.2 or higher. Although, I've never encountered this before. From my...
I'm noticing that the iber for one of my client's is not staying up. It runs for about 5-10 seconds and then stops and closes. I could not identify multiple ibers running, nor did I see iber trying to run multiple times (ie. iber running and another instance opens up). Here is the complete...
Hi all,
I use two Aloha employees to handle online orders. As of the last couple of weeks, I've been get an error message saying "invalid employee password". The strange thing was I never assigned a password to either one. To fix this issue, I ran the dbconfig.exe with default settings...
I have fixed this issue. The termstr was changed in the system and the POS support for this site had changed all of the terminals except for the one being used by online ordering. I changed this and restarted the iber. Thanks for your help, AlohaSupportTech.
I'm having issue getting iber to run immediately following the completion of the install. I've checked our settings within Aloha and the online order interface--they both look fine. I can't identify a setting with either that might produce this log error. But I agree that something is still missing.
Sorry, Megabyte. Yes. This only happens to this terminal and not to the other ones.
The only time we're in Aloha is when we're installing our online ordering software. So we create a terminal, order mode, employee, job code, etc., that will be used to process the online orders. With the ibercfg...
I've never had a problem with permissions before. That's not to say that this issue couldn't be a permissions setting. It would make sense since I haven't encountered this problem before. Are these permissions within Aloha? Windows? If the former, where would I locate the settings and what kind...
Other terminals aren using the trans.log just fine, I was trying to say. Thanks for the tip, though. I have also tried replacing the iber.exe from a previous backup but that did not fix the issue.
Here is the entire log for 5820:

Hi all,
I've been seeing this with a couple of Aloha clients:

Hi all,
I am supporting several restaurant's online ordering that integrates with their Aloha POS. Part of this process includes running iber.exe on the Aloha server. Recently a couple of sites have been getting errors in their iber debouts saying "Fatal error: Failed to register station name...
You're exactly right. I created an employee, a terminal, a job code, an order mode, and an item all specific to our integration. The strange thing is, there are two restaurants (with identical settings, versions of aloha etc.) that we work with, and the one site is working just find and the...
I work with Aloha online ordering integration and recently I've been receiving a 'Could not find employee'. Basically I just created an employee in Aloha to handle the online orders and there is no password assigned to this employee. Any thoughts?
