Fault address with iber

I've been seeing this with a couple of Aloha clients:

Any ideas as to what causes this and how I can fix it? It almost sounds like a corruption of sorts, but I'm not sure with what exactly. The trans.log shouldn't be the issue as this gets changed each day and does not get used by this instance of iber.

So.. Iber crashes as soon as it completely starts up? If you delete/rename the trans.log, what happens?

Other terminals are able to run just fine; they're not causing a trans.log. I just don't think it's got anything to do with it. Any other suggestions?

Other terminals aren using the trans.log just fine, I was trying to say. Thanks for the tip, though. I have also tried replacing the iber.exe from a previous backup but that did not fix the issue.

So, this only happens on one terminal, while the others are operating just fine? Look at permissions, faulty hardware, or virus. -I'd go with the first reason as most likely if the other terminals are running just fine.

I've never had a problem with permissions before. That's not to say that this issue couldn't be a permissions setting. It would make sense since I haven't encountered this problem before. Are these permissions within Aloha? Windows? If the former, where would I locate the settings and what kind of permissions should be granted?

Well, you've never answered my last question, so I still have no where to direct you. But, permissions would be Windows based only.

Because you've never had permissions problems before never means squat unfortunately. What usually ends up, is we find out there was actually some other kind of work or changes going on that would trigger something like this to happen out of the blue.

Sorry, Megabyte. Yes. This only happens to this terminal and not to the other ones.

The only time we're in Aloha is when we're installing our online ordering software. So we create a terminal, order mode, employee, job code, etc., that will be used to process the online orders. With the ibercfg created to reflect our term#, numterms, EDC path, we can then execute the then named term#.bat (iber). In this case, the iber runs for 4-5 seconds then stops and gives the aforementioned log.

I should clarify that the only time we're in Aloha is to create the employee, terminal etc. We're not installing anything into Aloha.

Well not sure why your telling me what the ibercfg does... I know very well how iber loads and what ibercfg does, as well as most of the add-on modules.

So, before this terminal starting acting up like it is, what was the last thing done to that terminal, or are you having issues after installing a module? Something is stil missing here, as just starting iber is quite easy.

I'm having issue getting iber to run immediately following the completion of the install. I've checked our settings within Aloha and the online order interface--they both look fine. I can't identify a setting with either that might produce this log error. But I agree that something is still missing.
