Finally got my IPO system up and running. When I inherited it, there was a dongle in the box. Had to default the system, so I have no idea what license the dongle was for. Can someone look it up for me?
I'm actually using a Mac to setup an IP Office right now. I just got a cheap $150 dollar refurb Dell and put it in the closet with the IPO equipment. I just use Microsoft's remote desktop client for Mac OS to log in.
I acquired a 403 control unit. System monitor says software version is 1.1. Clearly, I need to upgrade!
I was able to determine that DHCP is off and that the IP of the control unit is the default 192.168.42.1. Set the PC to 192.168.42.2. Installed the earliest release of the admin CD I could...
I've got a small lab setup in a dorm room, with a 1760 serving as my gateway. I've got 2 FXO ports on it.
One of these ports is connected to a MagicJack, which simply requires plain old 10 digit dialing. The other, though, is behind a PBX, so it requires 9+10 digit dialing.
Right now, I have 2...
I recently moved back to St. Louis after spending a few years in rural Indiana. It's almost all 9 here....but in Indiana, a LOT of businesses were using 7.
I suppose the theory was that 8 is (sort of)traditionally access to long distance trunks.
Ohhhh.....
So basically, it's the same setup as if I were setting up POTS lines for use with CUCME, but the router also needs to be set up as a H.323 gateway, and then point the CUCM server to the gateway?
I'm sure I'm missing something here, but I can't figure it out.
Trying to create users on Unity Connection in a CUCM 7 business edition integration. On the Unity side, the add user link is missing from the users page.
Is there some configuration I'm missing that isn't allowing me to add...
Trying to allow phones on me CME system internet access. Have my 1760 and catalyst switch configured for 3 vlans's: voice, data, and management.
Using a PC with Internet Sharing turned on and plugged into the switch, how can I allow my phones internet access?
This makes sense, and I'll test it to see what happens.
I'm actually wondering if the supervision problem might be a problem on the CO side. Way back there was an old Vodavi Starplus system on these lines. Same thing...if the phone ahead of the system answered, the system phones continued to...
I'll try that.
No, they are not GS truks...and that's not a possibility, as the analog device ahead of the system would not be able to make outgoing calls.
Why is the Meridian even designed to ringback on plain old COT trunks? T1/PRI, etc sure, even analog tie trunks.....but POTS??
Have a system in that necessitates one device placed AHEAD of the system (caller id/cheap wireless solution).
Users complain that ringback is heard after the device is answered.
Anyway to turn off ringback on analog trunks, or make the meridian stop ringing on time?
I'm sure there's a quick and easy fix for this.....we need to be able to park, transfer, conference, etc. outgoing calls. This works fine for incoming calls, but the softkeys on our sets go blank on outgoing calls, and the transfer button on 2616 sets does nothing if we originate the call.
I'm...
Great that worked.
Just one more question though.....I have 1 device ahead of the system on one of the COT lines. For some reason, even on analog lines, the Meridian is providing ringback. When the phone ahead of the system is answered, the Meridian doesn't stop ringing for about 2...
The package is there....but admin manual says NDRG isn't an option with the Flexible tones and cadences package.
Any way to disable this...or am I better off just changing the cadence in LD 56?
