jsaad - We are in the US.
hawks - Gonna try to get the LEC to give us the NI2. Those have worked out better in the past for other PBX's I have seen.
Please, one more time here folks, for the sake of overstating the obvious, a 4ESS circuit is an ISDN PRI and not a T1, correct?
Thanks again for...
No voicemail or auto attendant :) a big plus here with this situation. Less than 40 phones. Manufacturing location. Perhaps the cabinet swap makes the most sense in the long run. For the sake of the thread though, what would be the upgrade path if one exists please? I know they are going to ask...
I have a customer that is using a Norstar MICS XC 1.0 system with two DTI trunk cards. They are needing to change only one DTI card from a plain old ESF B8ZS T1 to a PRI that supports 4ESS. The T1 card is a nt7b74ga-93
Would any of you be able to suggest the correct upgrade path please?
Thank...
Does anyone know the history of the Eclipse telephone system? My research seems to show that it started off as part of the Executone line until good old Executone was acquired by Inter-Tel in 2000.
Can someone set/get the record straight please?
Thank you in advance,

You have to use VMMI to program a DXP. Also you will need a DB9 to RJ45 adapter so you can connect your laptop to it. Here is the pinout for the DB9 adapater:
RJ45-DB9F (most headshells wire out this way) You really only need 2,3, and 5 for this to work
1=nc
2=Red
3=Green
4=nc
5=Black
6=nc...
Yes, we have disabled 802.1Q in the phone and the results are the same. Any suggestions?
The phone has great call quality considering you cannot put the call on hold, transfer it, or anything else with it...weird
Draytek is not "supported" according to the Avaya Tier IV tech I spoke with. They also said that none of them could get Linksys products to work either. I have not confirmed their findings but I thought this may be helpful.
It does the same thing on a 9608 and a 9620. Any idea what protocols we could watch for in a Wireshark trace to attempt to pick this apart?
Thank you for the suggestion!
Hello,
I am working with an IP Office running 8.0.43 and a 9620 phone as a remote phone. We have port forwarded ports 1718, 1719, 1720, 49152 to 53247 as both UDP and TCP to the IP Office internal address. The firewall is a Cisco ASA.
What works:
We can get the phone to register.
We can make...
Would you be able to direct me to the help files in particular that indicate how to point a DID at a particular extension please? I could not find it in the online help or the manuals.
Thank you.
kwbMitel, thank you this works exactly as you indicated.
I would want to add that one should pay special attention to how the Trunk Service Number is configured to insert or absorb digits. This played heavily into my situation:
The Trunk Service Number was set to absob 1 and insert a 7. The...
Hello,
I am looking for a step-by-step procedure to assign a new DID to my 3300 Mxe system. Software version is 7.1.4.9_1
Here is what I have:
4 analog DID trunks (analog trunk assignment form shows: Type "DID/Loop TIE trunk")
The new DID has the last four digits of 2075 being sent by the LEC...
MICS PRI cards, does anyone know if they send ISDN Codeset 6? This is referred to as the Network Specific Codeset. I have never been asked this before but I have a LEC asking me and I could not find it in the manuals.
I had the telco send me new digits that fit in the numbering plan. This solved the problem.
Thank you eveyone for your input, I certainly do appreciate it.
Also one of the DID's second digit is a 9 so that won't work either...bummer. The LEC will have to provide us with different DID digits outpulsed.
Thanks again.
Cannot make it work with only 189. If I change the receive digit length from 4 to 3 does anyone know if this will require a reboot or disconnect any active calls?
