4. Have you tried creating a conference from a phone that has the issue?
Do you mean conference in another extension? If that is what you mean, then no. I can try it, what will it show (just curious)?
The idea here was to see if there was an issue with the IP streaming. In your setup, IP...
So in my mind, I picture wires coming in from the outside world and they are connected to the MCD through a CIM card. Going out of the MCD, you have some ASUs that are supplying some analog extensions. You also have the MCD connected to your internal network, and off of it, there are some...
Lou is correct, however note the the MCD uses UDP (not TCP) for T.38, so it's still not 100% reliable. There are TCP versions of T.38, but I don't think they are widely used.
Ok, so the system has been reset since you received this log, correct? If you get that error again, do another e2tshow and post the results.
Log Number: 2521
Date: 2012/Nov/12
Time: 16:59:13
Source: E2tSp
Description: Stream_E2T_Get_Unused_Channel -- no free channels
File Name and Line Number...
If you're saying that you don't have a separate e2t card, then your e2t address is the same as your rtc (i.e. your MCD). So unless your controller is 10.0.40.26, then you are fine, however you may want to track down that duplicate IP address as it may be the source of your problems.
So you...
With putty, use port 2002 in Raw mode.
That PortID is an internal one, nothing to do with a physical location.
The call however was made to DN 301. From that you should be able to tell who called through some testing. Try to call 301 through your PRI and you should get the another error.
On a single processor card system, the RTC card contains the E2T functionality, so the RTC and 'E2T' are one in the same. So no, you cannot reboot the E2T without rebooting the RTC (main controller). Log into the console of the RTC and type E2TShow.
Also, I wasn't sure based on your previous...
haven't e2t only onboard resource!"...I'm a little worried about this statement. You have an E2T, you may not have an additional E2T card, but you have an E2T. Log into the RTC console and type E2TShow.
This is saying you are out of E2T channels:
Description: Stream_E2T_Get_Unused_Channel -- no free channels
File Name and Line Number: Stream_E2T_Get_Unused_Channel;1264
This has nothing to do with the SIP issue, it's an overloading of the system. What does your E2TShow say?
Good distinction to add. Multiple m-lines was added to support T.38 (fax) and it is also required now for UC360 since it supports video. If you're not doing any of those things, then you shouldn't need it enabled.
m-lines are media lines, they describe the characteristics of the media being negotiated. Multiple m-lines means that you can offer more than one type of media in the same request (i.e. audio and video, or audio and fax). If it is single m-lines, in the fax case, you would offer audio, then if...
You put in an application at Mitel and get hired on as a programmer. ;)
Those are source code files. That part of the log is just to help the designers track down where in the code the error occurred.
Define 'horrible'. Remember that you are comparing the output of a phones speaker to that of your pc, not the same thing.
The only thing that can degrade the 'quality' of the file is if it goes through any compression. Any chance you are listening to it on a phone that is using G729?
If it's...
The log is because a connection in the system already exists, most likely to a late or lost Close Tx/Rx. Which is what the last log you reported is talking about. There is a 10 second timeout before it gives up on the connection. You're hitting that. So you need to find out whose not...
Good to hear that it worked out for you.
Basically what you are doing is forcing the audio connection to be established while you're listening to ringback. I'm still a little surprised this works since A. the EC still needs some input to locate the echo (you need to be talking on the IP side...
