    Ip Phone

We switched from NortelBCM400 to Asterisk PBX a few months ago and we were able to re-use our GN Netcom headsets with the Aastra 6731i. Just had to unplug the handset and plug in using the same cables we used with the Nortel phones. Works fine.

    **ERROR** Reset by Network Manager

It was SU.26 that "seemed" to resolve the issue for me. At least we haven't had any errors since updating.

    **ERROR** Reset by Network Manager

The latest patch seemed to resolve this for me. When we had the issue a reboot seemed to temporarily resolve it - until the next auto-backup ran. Just a theory, not a confirm link between the issue and the auto-backup.

Proper Order to install updates to BCM400

Can anyone download them from the Nortel site? I checked in the support section but can't find them.

Proper Order to install updates to BCM400

Thanks again, any thoughts on the install order? (which update to install first)

Proper Order to install updates to BCM400

Thanks - I will try to get the latest version and install that instead. Will installing these updates set everything back to default? Will I need to reprogram the BCM from scratch after applying?

Proper Order to install updates to BCM400

I am tasked with updating our BCM400 (a task that is long over due). My main question is which update to install first? Our current versions: BCM.R400.046-SoftwareManagement BCM.R400.SU.Desktop-002-200708 BCM.R400.SU.System-002-200708 BCM.R400.SU.System-003-200709 The updates I have to...

    **ERROR** Reset by Network Manager

We had the same issue occur again today. The error actually is: MPS reset by network manager. Any idea what could be causing this?

    **ERROR** Reset by Network Manager

We had a number of our IP phones drop from our BCM400 today. By the time I was notified and went in to check they were coming back online (about 30sec outage). I checked the Alarm log and it shows: **ERROR** Reset by Network Manager What does this mean? In the service manager CCRSAppServer...

    All IP phones dropping offline

Thanks for the insight. After checking the network we found it to be a faulty network cable coming from the switch - we will be replacing it during the next maintenance window. Thanks Again Graham

    All IP phones dropping offline

Network connection to the same sites stays up, one IP phone is internal (connected to same switch as the BCM).

    All IP phones dropping offline

System is patched. I didn't think to check the logs but there weren't any major alarms (my phone is the alert set) and now they are cleared since the reboot (I paniced a bit since it was a busy time during the day for phones here). It has happened twice in just under a month (first time was...

    All IP phones dropping offline

Hi, We are running into an issue with our BCM400. It has happened twice now that all 52 of our IP phones (mostly IP2002) are disconnected from the BCM and are unable to re-register. All other services seem to be working fine. A reboot of the BCM was needed to re-enable the IP Phones. Any...

    BCM400 RAM upgrade?

Thanks Guys, I'll let you know if/when we try it how it goes.

    BCM400 RAM upgrade?

We have a BCM400 with the default 256MB of RAM. Recently I've been getting constant "Physical memory near or on its capacity" alarms. In the BCM Monitor the Physical Memory is consistently at 70% to 80%. My question is - we have a spare BCM motherboard kit (order to have in stock just in case)...

    Outgoing OLI Name

Checked with them - they say they allow the name and number that is sent from the system. For some reason it seemed like it worked when we only had one PRI but stopped once we add a second (calls seem to go out through the second (new) PRI)

    Outgoing OLI Name

I am trying to configure our system to send our Company name and number when making outgoing calls. I have set the Business name and have set the outgoing OLI number on each active set. However when making an outgoing call it shows the OLI number for both name and number on the receiving...

    One-way voice from IP phones

Hi, We've recently developed an issue where some of our IP phones (IP2002) are able to hear the caller but the caller can't hear them. Rebooting the phone seems to resolve it temporarily for some but not all. Bandwidth on the network is low so that doesn't seem to be an issue. I've also...
