Remove all historical data for specific fiscal year

Thanks Tuba. I completely forgot the number of years to keep was part of the G/L Setup.

Remove all historical data for specific fiscal year

Hello, The powers that be have decided we need to remove all data prior to 2007 from Accpac. Now, using periodic processing I can see what is available to clear for each module but they want absolutely no trace of the data to remain in Accpac and I am not sure if this can be done or if any...

Lanpak in use without client being open

Just to share final results, I ended up not having to delete either file. Attempted to do so but got a file lock error. Checked the open files and sure enough there was a lock on SEMAPHOR.bin. Fixing the lock fixed the logged in users and now I can do the database load. Thanks Tuba for pointing...

Lanpak in use without client being open

Thanks Tuba. I am guessing I would need all users out of all companies in order to do this?

Lanpak in use without client being open

Just worth noting, I took the SQL database offline and brought it up back online to ensure all connections were dropped as well as confirm there were no processes open via SQL activity monitor.

Lanpak in use without client being open

Hello, I am trying to do a dataload to test databse but get an error that Accpac needs exclusive access. When I look at lanpak users, it says there is an open connection to the database in question. The user logged however is an admin (which limits the possible people to 2) and neither of us...

Financial Report and 2 version of Excel

Hello, We have a user on a Windows 7 box with Excel 2013 and Excel 2007. Regardless of which version we associate XLS files with, financial reporter opens up in 2013. On his machine, Excel 2013 was installed second. In my local test environment, I have Excel 2003 and Excel 2010. Regardless of...

GL batches show as open but won't post

I took a look at how much work was done today and decided to restore last nights backup and reimport all the batches created today. I did make a backup of the corrupted database before the restoration so I will attempt your suggestion our test environment and report back.

I get the same error from there.

GL batches show as open but won't post

The other thing that is odd, is GLPOST is listed as Posted Batches and the batches in question appear in that table but do not appear on a G/L transaction listing.

GL batches show as open but won't post

I am wondering when you try to post a batch, what tables does accpac look at? GLBCTL looks fine and has the BATCHSTAT as 9.

GL batches show as open but won't post

With Ready to Post marked Yes and Status of Ready to Post we get the error there are no batches no post. Data integrity did not find any errors.

GL batches show as open but won't post

Hello, We have GL batches showing as open but won't post with the message "There are no batches no post". The batches in question appear in GLPOST however. I am currently in the process of running data integrity but does anyone have any ideas? We are on Accpac 5.6 PU2 on SQL Server 2008R2.

Wrong OFX File imported - easy way to clear those transactions out?

Thanks! The table appears to be BKUNMAT if anyone should find themselves in a similar situation.

Wrong OFX File imported - easy way to clear those transactions out?

Hello, We have a user who accidentally loaded an invalid OFX file. Is there an easy way to clear out this bad batch without going to the database doing doing a T-SQL delete? We are on Accpac 5.6 PU2. Thanks for your help in advance.

.NET Access Error with COM API

We gave all the Accpac related DCOM items Access Permissions to everyone as we weren't sure which one specifically would help us. But that is the only DCom change we made. We changed the IIS application pool to be a domain admin to rule out if access to the program files was causing this...

.NET Access Error with COM API

Sorry - what I typed previously was not clear. The shared data directory is not a local drive. It is our production server and we are using a UNC path rather than a mapped drive. The program files are local and those are not referenced by UNC.

.NET Access Error with COM API

SharedData is a unc path to a network share on its own drive. The program files are local in C:\Sage.

.NET Access Error with COM API

We have enabled the 32-bit in the app. pool but that did not solve the issue. We also changed application pool to run as the domain administrator. Any other ideas?
