Export reports to HTML? You may owe $10K per year.

I asked the Crystal-Clear guys in Germany about their take on this, and they said they did not believe there was a problem. IIRC, the crystal clear guys used only components available under V7 of CR - so they could remain inside the more hospitable licencing for the runtime report engine at...

    Technical Question

It stores it internally, yes. In order to bring the report back up to sync, you need to refresh the report (using F5 or the menu option) You also have the option of saving reports with or without a set of current data - in the latter case, it needs to read in the data each time you open the...

How to export to PDF format in cr 8.0

Getting clean exports to pdf using the activex control here on 8.5 Dev - how are you exporting?

    Exporting Crystal report to ms-wrod

I usually find the best way to get to word is via HTML - have you tried that?

Export reports to HTML? You may owe $10K per year.

As I understand it, "classic" applications (ie, a compiled report and/or a program written using VB calling a Crystal Report) are still royalty free. What this discussion revolves around is a user writing an application which, on update of the database (or periodically), outputs a...

    Data repetition problem

Closest I have ever seen was that with certain databases (Foxpro showed the error on my system, but there are others) deleted records are displayed until they are purged. Is this a possibility?

Export reports to HTML? You may owe $10K per year.

run a web application (that uses crystal reports for report generation) on more than one server and load balance the servers? Don't recall seeing this on CE, but in the 8.0 web component, the licence explicitly allowed load balancing, but stated that if you were doing it to effectively have...

Hiding username and password in HTML report???

Hmmm - (semi) update here; apparently there are some heavy licencing implications involved in implimenting this thread's ideas - see the thread marked "Export reports to HTML? You may owe $10K per year" (http://www.tek-tips.com/gviewthread.cfm/lev2/4/lev3/100/pid/149/qid/64619)

Export reports to HTML? You may owe $10K per year.

Hmm. As disgusted as I am by this change, I am wondering about the five concurrent user CE licence that comes bundled with CR - I have bought *12* full Pro copies and one development - as I doubt any system I put together would ever have more than five concurrent users. and that should give me...

Hiding username and password in HTML report???

I have a similar problem. As a trial solution, I considered that if I called the activex control, refreshed the data then used the export ability to generate a one-off report (either cr for the viewer or PDF) I *should* be able to give the user the report, up to date and in a choice of formats...
