Hi

I am having a problem in exporting a crystal report to PDF format.I am using version 8.0.
also isn't it possible to have the same formattng except using PDF format.

Plz tell me. Thanks in advance

it's impossible to export to PDF format in Crystal 8.0, only in version 8.5! (i had the same problem...)

At one time there was a beta download of the PDF export driver. I may be mistaken but I thought it would work with v8, but it appears that this is no longer 'supported'.

Getting clean exports to pdf using the activex control here on 8.5 Dev - how are you exporting?

The beta version of the PDF export DLL worked just fine with V8. It's no longer on the Crystal web site.

If Crystal had any class, they would provide the DLL as a free download for those who have V8 and not make people buy V8.5 simply for one feature that should have been implemented quite a while ago.

With ver. 8.0 you have to install Adobe Acrobat and "print" to the distiller. It's very basic but you do have to buy the software.

Hi Friends,

It means we can't export to PDF format using CR 8.0.
So Isn't there any other way by which we can get the exact formatting?????

Because I have to send the reports to the higher management
So I want the exact formatting.

Is there any other solution????

Crystal has supported PDF printing for a long while now, though previous to 8.5 you needed the acrobat writer and instead of choosing "export" you would select print and select your acrobat writer as your printer. This will "print" your report into a pdf file. Seagate Certified RCAD Specialist.
