Access 2000 DB - ODBC call failed when opening in Access 2010

Now that makes sense. I have a choice of several different drivers and I chose the newest of the group, but maybe that was a mistake. I will try a different one.

Access 2000 DB - ODBC call failed when opening in Access 2010

I know its going to end up being one of those easy things that I kick myself for not figuring out....But I'm totally at a loss right now too. Since the original post, I did try and creating a DSN and no luck. Since Rockwell doesn't directly talk to Access, it doesn't seem like it could have an...

Access 2000 DB - ODBC call failed when opening in Access 2010

I first added it in the trust center hoping that would take care of it.....no luck. Then I relinked the three tables, no change.

Access 2000 DB - ODBC call failed when opening in Access 2010

The version is 8. It is still in place on the server and is working fine for PC's that don't have Office 2010 yet. Also, there is another app that has a database on it and it works fine. So I feel pretty confident that its not an SQL issue.

Access 2000 DB - ODBC call failed when opening in Access 2010

I have an Access 2000 database that we have been opening via a runtime version of Access 2000 and the full version of Access 2003 for years. It has three tables that are linked to tables in a MySQL DB. These tables are also accessed by some Rockwell software. Recently we upgraded to Office...

    Access Runtime won't install correctly

Just to update, when I set the privategroup setting in setup.lst to False, it will set up icons for that user....but still not for "all users". And a batch file to copy the shortcuts doesn't help because the shortcut doesn't function after the copy. Dan Vietze IT Manager Frederick...

    Access Runtime won't install correctly

We have been distributing a runtime application in Access for 5 years for our customers to look up our products. This year, I created the App as I always do (except I upgraded the database this year from the Access2000 format to 2002) and created my install package. I also had to change a...

    Access Setup problem

Tony-I am having the exact same problem when installing on an XP machine. Did you come up with a fix? Dan Vietze IT Manager Frederick Manufacturing, Blount Inc.

Path/File access error with Runtime Access 2002 on Win98

It gets even better. I tried our setup program on 2 other PC's with Win98 on them. When I tried to run the setup program, the window appears saying it is copying files for about 30 seconds and then goes away and nothing else happens. On our XP and 2000 machines, the next thing that should...

Path/File access error with Runtime Access 2002 on Win98

I have a database I setup for our customers for looking up our products. I created it in Access 97 several years ago and update it this year. We started having problems with it not working on Windows XP machines this year. I was told that Access 2002 would run on the older 98 machines so we...

XP Home - Disk Space Disappearing

Thank you for the quick replys. There were about 85 restore points in the folder. When I did all but the most recent RP folder, one of them from November gives an error "cannot remove folder, it is being used by another program. So, I skipped it and found that all of the folders from...

XP Home - Disk Space Disappearing

Thanks for the help Buckeye. However, it only cleared a very small amount. It almost appears that the system restore program is corrupted or something. I cannot shut it off (system restore encountered an error, please restart-which doesn't help). I also cannot reduce the amount of disk space...

XP Home - Disk Space Disappearing

One of my co-workers brought me their home computer with Win XP Home on it. They have a 40gig drive, and there is currently only 20 megs free. With every boot of the system, 2 gigs seems to go away. I was able to find that over 30 gigs of disk space is in a hidden system folder called System...

Divide by Zero with patches Fox 2.6a W2K

Looks like I need to add some additional background. We have a few machines still running Foxpro 2.6 for Dos. All reports are formated in Foxpro for Dos for compatability. When I transport the report to Foxpro for Windows, the divide by zero/overflow goes away. This also prevents the...

Divide by Zero with patches Fox 2.6a W2K

What baffles me about that is we send the report to a text file and then copy the text file to the printer. I think (if I understand things correctly) that doing this throws out a font or graphics issue, doesn't it? There are no graphics, only text. I will look it over and see what I can...

Divide by Zero with patches Fox 2.6a W2K

Rick, Thats the other part that confuses me....we used the Windows 2000 drivers to set up the printers. And, other reports print to the same printers. It just doesn't make any sense to me at all. Admittedly, our print to text file method of printing is less than efficient, but it does work...

Divide by Zero with patches Fox 2.6a W2K

We just installed a Windows 2000 network with our Novell network. We are using a Novell gateway to get to the foxpro programs on our Novell server. We have several applications compiled in Foxpro 2.6a, and the all start and run. Only a few of the reports give "Divide by Zero or Overflow...

Too many recipients in Outlook Express

Thank you, that is a cool tool. Actually I found out that the problem was with our provider. As an anti-spam measure, they are limiting the number of recipients to 30. Seems like a low number to me since I assume spammers go for the 100's or 1000's. Thats Skytell/Hypervine for ya. Thanks...

Too many recipients in Outlook Express

I have a user trying to send out an email in Outlook Express, Windows 2000 Pro and is getting a strange error message. Strange because there aren't in my opinion that many addresses. My guess is he has 10 in the "TO" field and 25 in the "CC" field. When he attempts to...
