You should post any sort of error or window that pops up when trying to create a task. Does it do nothing? How about creating a new message? calendar item?
OS? patched software? any hardware/software installs (including add-ons) around time issue started happening...etc.
Nope, best to do it manually, moving messages from the large PST into a newly created one. If it's too "tedious", try just moving things like "deleted items" or "sent items" as these tend to be the largest folders, assuming he/she has it in the big PST in question.
I'm assuming that everyone else can ping each other across subnets...
yes then the default gateway/route for the server should be set to point to the DNS server that will tell the linux server who anyone in .8* is.
weird, I only know of system restore starting manually or if by a script.
Yes it can restore email settings:
"When you use System Restore, you can revert to a saved state without losing personal data including Word documents, e-mail settings and messages, and your Internet favorites list...
The best solution is to break up the PST into multiple PSTs, ie. by year, project, person, etc.
It's recommended that the PST remain below 2GB, so help him reduce it to below that size. Anything over is just asking for corruption and Outlook will take forever to open up too...
If he...
Firstly, I think this should be in the backup section of the forum.
Sounds like your users are storing their PSTs on their local HDD. Depending on how many users you have, there is an option of storing the PSTs on the server then back up server normally, and accessing them there. I would test...
Basically they are saying that they don't have the "Full Feature" drivers for Vista. Only with the Full Feature drivers will you be able to see the ink levels via some HP monitoring software.
I just keep printing until it fades.
I would just go to the central server that has backupexec on it, click on restore to start the wizard and restore to a directory on that server. Then you can transfer to the laptop later.

Have you tried turning off Word as the editor for your messages?
Is this account set up via exchange? pop3 (http://support.microsoft.com/?id=264249), imap?
Antivirus disabled, test again?
