All of a sudden I have someone who is receiving two copies of every single e-mail... both internal and external e-mails. I've had her try the obvious like reboot and reopen outlook but it's still the same. She said she does not have outlook open anywhere else. Any idea what would cause duplicate e-mail messages? I have not setup any special forwarding for her.

Does she have some sort of pda that syncs to the computer? I've seen this with such devices (activesync, I believe).

nope, no PDA. i did have her connected to her PC from home via a webex session the other day because remote desktop wouldn't work. i don't think that is the cause though.

Is this account set up via exchange? pop3 ( imap?

Antivirus disabled, test again?

try troubleshooting via ESM, message tracker, do you see double messages sent to recipient at this point? Not likely, so how about shutting down Outlook, deleting the user's outlook.ost in user\local settings\application data\microsoft\outlook

Start up outlook and let it create another ost. . .

good idea with the .ost file.... i will try that.
