I figured it out. The phone in question is a 3903 and actually resides on secondary cs1000 at the location of the phone and not on our main cs1000. I can change the name at the secondary location.
Thanks for your responses.
I usually use LD 95 to change Caller ID on Nortel numbers in our CS1000. One number will not let me. The CS1000 tells me that it is a CDP number which I know very little about and will not let me change the Caller ID for that number. I can't even print out a TN for the number. Anyone have...
We have a Nortel CS1000 PBX. Lately we have been having problems hearing external calls. Sometimes we can't hear the external callers voice and sometime they can't hear ours. Sometimes it everything work fine. I have rebooted my PBX and main signalling server to no avail. Does anyone have...
I manage a network with quite a few Cisco C3500XL switches. Some of the switches have IOS version 12.0(5)WC17 and some have IOS Version 12.0(5.2)XU. Can anyone tell what the difference is between the versions (I know that may be a tall order) and what the latest IOS version is for these switches?
I normally "out" names in ld 95 with the commands you listed. It sounds like I would have had to put in a range of numbers which is an unlikely fat finger. However if I had put in just the number 2 for the DN would it assume that I wanted all defined names for 2xxx DIDs deleted?
We have 4 digit DIDs that start with the number 2 such as 2858. All the CPNDs for those numbers have been erased. All other DID numbers are OK. My question is there a way that I could have fat fingered a deletion of CPND for all 2xxx DIDs? I know I am probably going to have to reenter the...
Caller IDs for all my 4 digit phone numbers that start with a "2" have disappeared. (ie - npa-nxx-2858) Is there a global command that could delete all 2xxx Caller IDs such as in LD 95?

The routers are set so one is the primary and the other is secondary for VLAN control. If one router dies the other takes over vlan routing on our data rings.
Here is the rest of the data. sh ip rout is not a legal command on these switches (Cisco 35xx - to be replaced next year). I will...
You are correct. This is a typing error. My statmeent should have read.
"If the switches in question are down I can't access them no matter what vlan I use, I guess except the management vlan (vlan 1).
Correct.
All our vlans are setup on our 4510 and 6509 routers. We allow all vlans to talk to each other. the switches have no routing on them.

All of our switches are on 192.168.254.xxx subnet, Vlan 1 Management LAN. Intermapper is on vlan 430. All vlans can talk to each other and are routed by our 4510 or 6509. Pinging and access are the same from any Vlan whether the switches are showing up or down. The problem with the...
On occasion I have three switches in the same location that I can not ping or access from multiple Vlans\PCs. Users on those switches continue to have access to our network (internet, data drives). We use InterMapper to monitor our switches and it shows the switches as down. However if I log...
I was able to setup a schedule backup and I did watch it run while logged into our CP server so I think I am setting it up properly. However it will not run automatically at 9pm. I am backing up to a network drive and then to tape at night so I think I am covered there. However I have put a...
I would like to automate backing up my CallPilot server version 5.00.41.112. I have a backup that I run manually using system/backup-restore. The manual backup works and I have had to restore it so I know it is working properly. I can not get this backup to run on the scheduler provided on...
I have only install the fax stuff on a limited basis. Everyone who got really excited about it got it installed and practically no one uses it. Faxes seem to be way out of vogue!
We are using Callpilot 5.0 to a separate Callpilot inbox on XP and Outlook 2007. One client gets messages on his nortel phone, the phone lights up but nothing comes into his CP inbox. If we exit out of Outlook and go back in then the message shows up but not until then. How do I remedy this...
I don't know if there is a new version or not but I found this on the nortel support site. See if this helps.
Callpilot and Office 2010
Call Pilot v4 & v5 installed just fine on Windows 7 32bit and 64bit (and Windows Server 2008 x64) under Outlook 2007 and below; Outlook 2010 was another...
