We have ShoreTel Connect Onsite and IP480 telephones. Is there a way to display the number that outside callers dialed when we receive an incoming call? Our users have DIDs and we also have an automated attendant. It would be nice for users to see whether callers dialed the DID, the automated...
Oops, looks like I'm looking for a NTRB37 DXUT-A card, NOT a NT5D31. I would need the A-CLID package which I don't have. I think I answered my own question!
Hi Guys, I (still) have an Option 11c with 25.40b and no PRI packages and we want to see CLID on incoming calls. Trunks are all analog ground start. I posted this problem a while ago, and the consensus was that without a PRI package, there is no way to receive CLID on an analog trunk.
However...
Still waiting to hear from our vendor, so I thought I'd see how far I could get on my own.

Hello,
We would like to be able to receive caller id on incoming external calls. I realize that we need a PRI to do this. However, our switch is an Option 11c with 25.40b general business package. Our vendor says that PRIs are not supported in general business, so we will have to make...
I've had trouble with Avaya/AT&T "modern" (electronic network) 2500 telephones. They light up as they are supposed to, but are very dim for some reason. Other older 2500 sets (with a real ringer and G-style handset) seem to work fine.
No, Caller ID is not supported on standard analog extensions. You would need a CLASS modem card and appropriate licenses to push CID over analog extensions.
I have hot-swapped tape drives without any trouble, though I honestly don't know if you are supposed to or not. Can't remember the exact procedure to back up MMail, but you can find it in the menus. If you can't find it, let me know and next time I visit our PBX, I'll log in and write down the...
Right, I realize that any logger or standalone box would have to sit ahead of the system, and that is fine. However, since our automated attendant answers incoming calls immediately after the first ring, the telco can't transmit the caller id data before the call is answered since the data is...
Thanks Gene, I was afraid of that. Also, last I checked, PRI wasn't available in our area from our telco (a CLEC).
We are interested in Caller ID mainly in case we get harassing or annoying calls (though I am aware that caller ID can be faked). Let's say that I set up a third-party solution to...
I actually prefer the larger buttons, heavier handset, and classic styling of the old SL-1 sets, so I know where the OP is coming from. Too bad they won't work on an Option 11.
Hello everyone,
We have an Option 11 25.40b. We are looking to have basic Caller ID service on our incoming lines. Our incoming lines are ground-start analog trunks. For testing purposes, I've ordered caller ID on one of our incoming lines. What will we need to do (as far as equipment and...
Well, yesterday I shut MM down, reseated the cards, and brought it back online. I checked the logs today and I'm still getting the DSP timing loss frequently.
I forgot to mention -- I previously tried swapping the DSP cards with other working cards and the problem still appeared. Should I try...
It seems like I usually measure about 28 volts on digital ports. Therefore, of the two options, the 39 volt clamping protector would be most appropriate. However, that still may be unnecessarily low. I have the standard five-pin protectors in our building entrance terminals. I believe they clamp...
You could try this site:

They have just about every kind of large-scale disaster, everything from tornadoes to "mass death of animals". I've never seen communications disasters listed, but it's worth a shot if the issue ever comes up...
I haven't tried reseating the cards, so sometime when I can take voicemail down for a few minutes, I will try that. I do have a recent full backup. Thanks for the tip, I will report my results.
Hello everyone,
We are using Meridian Mail 13 (with the three cards in the cabinet). It seems to be working fine, but I've always been troubled by the logs. I keep seeing "PP_Comm: Do_PP_Audit: DSP timing loss, DSP internal timer ON, DSP: 0" in the logs. This error will come up a few times...
