I have a few systems but only a small percent of our total systems here that get stuck on Preparing Network Settings... while booting.
I have found that if I take the network cable out and restart the PC it will boot to the logon and at that time I plug the cable back in.
I then can sign in and...
I am here to see what the problem is but I know how to get around it.
Take the network cable out of the back on the computer, boot it up to the sign on screen, and then put the cable back in and sign in like normal.
Not sure why you have to do that just yet but I am looking to find out why now...
Ok next problem is now I do not have a security tab for the program files folder to set permissions with. Any idea were I could turn this on? Or maybe an alternate way to set the security on it?
I will try the program files directory permissions out that sounds pretty good. Never really thought about permissions on local machine. I will let you know how that works as I tweak on it some and get it going.
Thanks!
