If you've taken CVoice 642-432 (as I have), you don't have to take the CCNA-Voice test. This only applies to those taking the 642-436 CVoice test, which is newer.
So I only have to take and pass five tests total. I don't believe the 642-432 is available anymore, though.
Ok, I was under the assumption that if you were going the VP track that included Gwgk, then there would be 6 tests to take: CVoice, Gwgk, CIPT 4.1, TUC, QoS, and lastly CCNA-Voice. Once done, you would be CCVP certified.
However, I coworker just told me that if you took CVoice 6.0 back before...
Ok, so where does the IP address of the server (in my case in VMWare) come into play? If I set up the router's IP and DHCP, and the IP phone is going to be in the same subnet as the router, then the IP addy of the CCM server won't necessarily be a part of that subnet?
I'm fooling around with my VMWare version of CCM 4.1 using Windows 2000 Server (also virtual) in my basic home lab. I admit that I have a lot to learn, so don't blast me that I should already know this. I'm wondering - my virtual server has its IP address, but where are my two IP phones going to...
I'm using an MC3810 router with four FXS ports and one ethernet port. I'm plugging in a 2950 switch to the ethernet, and connecting one IP phone to the switch (for now).
No - you make a voip dial peer using the IP address of the remote target, not the IP phone itself. My issue is that I'm not going to a remote target; I'm only wanting to connect to the two analog phones connected to the same router. What would I put for a dial peer?
I have one voice router, to which I've attached two analog phones and a switch. To the switch I have an IP phone. The analog phones are talking to each other and configured fine. What commands would work on the router to enable the IP phone to communicate with the analog phones?
My issue is...
ciscoguy33, everyone knows - or should know - that watching a video isn't the same as being able to successfully implement home labs with all of its diverse scenarios. How to do this, where to plug that, what to use here-issues.
What happens when you're stuck and can't get resolution from...
I see - I thought it was online training, not an actual class. This probably isn't what I'm looking for. I would need to be able to go at my own pace and not worry about deadlines.
lerdalt, since you've taken the SkillSoft program, can you tell me if they offered any kind of support beyond just giving you the information? I can get the information I need - that's not a problem. My issue is getting assistance when I can't work through problems. And the online forums I can...
A coworker has recently decided to pursue his CCIE training (R&S) through an online program. It's pricey at $3,000 - however, he's getting a lot of stuff. He has free rack rentals, the four CCIE textbooks he'll need, workbooks, and best of all, a tutor who will work with him and provide support...

I have a basic question or two about how to connect these two routers.
I have one 2600 router and another 3810 voice router. I have router-on-a-stick setup on the 2600 with two IP phones and a switch, and on the 3810 I have two analog and one IP phone (the 3810 does not support encapsulation...
Thanks for the answer. So if I got, say, a Dell or Sony computer with the aforementioned hardware, CCM wouldn't work? One must use just those brands (generally speaking)?
I had read that on the CCVP track, one can pursue the CIPT with either CCM 4.x or 6.x Is this true? I read Cisco's website, and it only says CIPT v4 and v6, but this isn't referring to Callmanager that I can see.
Can someone advise? Thanks.
Help! I'm going into CCVP and I need to know the least expensive way to get a computer together which will meet the hardware requirements for CUCM6.0. I was told that I could take most any computer and us it, as long as it had 2 GB of memory, a 72 GB hard drive, and a 2 GHz processor. I'll only...
"GHARUS,
I too had the same issue with the same question and I too blew it. How can you find the destination MAC address.
I know for a fact I blew this entire question.
Last I knew and I could be wrong here is if you have 5 questions and you miss one of them the entire question is wrong...
