Nupoint voice mail encoding

Thanks. Hopefully they'll make encoding a little more flexible in the future.

    Nupoint voice mail encoding

The iphone running version 2.0 is unable to play the attached .wav files sent from Nupoint version 11.0. Is there a way to change the encoding format for these sound files on the Nupoint server? Encoding as an .mp3 would be great.

Our GB HP Servers do not connect to HP 2900 switches at 1 GB

I've seen situations where both the switch and the server have to be set to 1 GB. Someone said one time that auto negotiate should be "ought to negotiate".

QOS Vlan Priority? No Vlans Listed

The command would be: no vlan N voice where N is the VLAN with the incorrect voice setting.

    New Module

Interesting. The WESM modules themselves have to boot when inserted. I didn't notice the switch itself rebooting.

QOS Vlan Priority? No Vlans Listed

At the CLI in config mode, I use something like: vlan 3 voice I think by default this sets the QOS to 6. You can set the QOS by using the command: vlan 3 qos priority 7 If there is something else that needs to be enabled before entering these commands, the software does a pretty good job of...

    New Module

On installations of the 5300 and 5400 versions, the switches didn't reset.

    New Module

The modules are hot swappable. We've used one for about four months. We verified the switch was running a firmware version that works with it, installed it, and configured it.

    VLANs leaking

Can you elaborate on what you mean by leaking?

    Picking up other folk's line

I'm not quite sure what you mean by "multiple appearances". The boss has one number and that number should be able to be picked up by the secretary. If another call comes into the boss when the secretary or the boss is using the boss's number, I'd think the call would be directed to voice mail...

    Picking up other folk's line

Thanks. If you would provide the steps, that would be great. They won't make sense to me, but I'll give it to our phone guy and he can take it from there. On an unrelated subject, does anybody know if there is a way to read previous threads with this forum without going back to the index...

    Picking up other folk's line

Sorry about that. We have a 3300 MXe switch and using 5330 IP phones.

    Picking up other folk's line

With our old phone system, we could have two lines on a secretary's phone, one for the secretary and one for the secretary's boss. The secretary could pick up the boss's line and then put the caller on hold. The boss could then pick up the line at the boss's desk. Our vendor says this can be...

    configure sniffer on 3500yl procurve

You need to set the switch to mirror the traffic to a mirror port. Say port 1 is your traffic port and your Websense box is on port 2. You'd enter something like this at the cli. You might verify this in the manual. config mirrorport 2 int 1 monitor

    Slow DHCP on 2810-24 switch

We don't have any of these switches. If you have multiple VLANs, you'll either need a DHCP server on each VLAN or a DHCP helper address on each VLAN pointing to the DHCP server with appropriate scopes set up. It doesn't make sense that the clients are getting IP addresses if the DHCP server is...

NAC (Network Access Control) with HP and Radius

I tested it a year or so ago and it worked. We haven't implemented it on the wired network though. We use 802.1x with HP's wireless module now. We authenticate through Microsoft's Internet Authentication Service and AD.

NAC (Network Access Control) with HP and Radius

Are you asking about using 802.1x to authenticate users on Procurve switches?

Call with YA via a URL

We recently installed a Mitel 3300 and are using YA Lite. I'm wondering if it is possible to dial a phone by clicking on a URL. With Skype, one can do this by creating a URL in the form: Click here to call me via Skype! Do you know if that is possible...

    HP Procurve manager CLI ???

I'm not sure I understand your questions. In PCM, you can send CLI commands to multiple devices by selecting the devices and right mouse clicking on them, select Config Manager tools->CLI. What you enter as the command may or may not write over existing configuration items.
