Hi all,
I need an answer to one question:
I'm editing video which already has caption data embedded, would using Premiere 2.0 remove the closed caption information, or is it untouched and the final edited video will still have the caption data embedded in the video?
thanks for any info...

but i just got it done using "Maxblast 3" for windows, from the maxtor support site. i was using their "dos" version by mistake and that's why it didn't work.
it seems the dos version is to copy drives with no OS on it while the windows version can copy...
i've had excellent results using "Verbatim" brand dvd-R discs.
like "cdogg" said, you should check your burner to see what type discs it burns to. that's either the + or - type discs. YES, it should certainly burn to a type R disc, just use the type it was designed to use,
if you used the...

i'm using photoshop 7,

let's say i want to easily delete 5 layers at once, i can't figure out how to do that. i just delete them one at a time.
there must be an easier way :(
hi there everyone,
my pc is running win2000pro but the c: drive is quite an old 8Gb NTFS. I want to completely duplicate that drive's contents onto a new 120Gb NTFS drive so that all i have to do would be to just put in the 120Gb drive as the new C: and remove the old 8Gb.

i guessing your memory is fine.
it your motherboard that doesn't recognize the ram density of the ram.
is the ram single sided or double sided?
if it's single sided i'll bet it's in perfect working order and your mobo is just not recognizing it.
if it were me,
either i would :
1) i'd keep it...
hi denice,
i appreciate your cool sentiments on my post !
i would also say that that enclosure from compusa is a bit overpriced. i mean $144.00 compared to $49 for the ones i use and both r probably made in china. u should consider buying the me-320 instead. all u have to do is get the...

almost every other time i start up win98se it goes into safe mode.
it says i have a display problem. i've re-installed the display drivers each time and it fixes the problem. but the next day it goes back to safe mode and i have to re-install the drivers all over again.
my mobo is a BRAND NEW...
in my experience it's most likely mismatched ram that's causing it, not neccessarily bad ram.
(i'm using 2100 ddr btw)
i had the same problem using two "good" different brand, 256mb ddr ram (i checked them with memtest and they tested good) and when i replaced them with only one...
hi i'm using win xp pro on a system using an athlon 1800xp cpu.
i'd like to upgrade just the cpu to an athlon 2200xp chip, leaving everything else intact (motherboard, bios, cards, etc...)
would i have to re-activate win xp just by swapping the cpu?
ok here's the update...
APM was already enabled in the bios
BUT,
in the device manager, under systems devices, there was a yellow exclamation mark next to the "Advanced Power Management support" device.
so i removed that device, re-booted and it re-installed itself and now...
hi carr, i tried this but it still noes not work.
maybe you misunderstood, but windows is shutting down. what my issue is that after shutting down the OS, the power does not turn itself off as it should when using an "atx" power supply as opposed to an older "at" type.
