heating problem?? IE and task bar haywire

Thanks for the reply, ace. Yes, I left if off for an hour or two. Still the same issue. New info: I failed to notice the "DC not available" error in the event log. So the client was not logging in. I changed the network cable and she is up and running fine. I am going to do some testing...

heating problem?? IE and task bar haywire

I have a client that can run her PC for weeks, without having a serious problem. She logs into my SBS 2003 server every morning and logs off every night. But, if for whatever reason, she has to reboot during the day, she can log in to the network but her task bar(XP) does not function. The...

Not able to access some SSL sites

One of the sites happens to be the Federal Reserve. I spoke with their tech support and was told that my certificate is probably corrupted. Did I back it up when I receieved it? Negative. I have to start over and request a new one, and wait the 3-4 days to receive it. I'll post an update as...

Not able to access some SSL sites

I recently migrated my network to SBS 2003. Now myself and another user are not able to connect to some sites using a certificate. This has only become an issue since the migration. I am using IE 7 and the other user IE6. Anybody have any ideas? ellsanto -Gillan lives, have you met him?

rogue ip address and stp traffic

Thanks for the replies. Here is what I found: 1. Quite a while back, a printer was set up with the "rogue" IP address. Turns out the printer was removed from the network, but the profile info was still in the registry. After deleting the key, I haven't seen any requests for that IP. 2. An...
