If I already have established virtual servers running in Virtual Server 2005 R2 but now want to set up a host clustering environment, will I have to recreate any of the .vmc or .vhd files after creating the cluster to do so?

Determining what objects security groups are assigned to.

Hello all, Does anyone know of a way to determine what objects a AD security groud might be assigned to? I'm looking for some sort of automated method to accomplish this. I'm hoping there is a way where I could select a security group and then see which directories or even documents it was...

What things effect the job rate?

I was just wondering what types of things there are that would effect a job rate. I have some servers that run at 3000MB/min and others that run at 300MB/min. What kind of things should I look for? Backup Exec 11d. Using Symantec drivers. All hotfixes installed.

    System State/Access is Denied (sporadic)

Some resources such as System State must be processed in a specific order and cannot be re-ordered. If you go to the properties of the job and select Resource Order, you will see that the "move up" and "move down" buttons are unavailable for System State. I am trying to remember back to 8.6 but...

    Using IMAP4 protocol

The services are running. I assume that the services need to be running on both nodes of the cluster to work. Maybe I will try restarting them to see if that helps. Any other ideas? Thanks

Cannot upload old docs to Sharepoint

When attempting to upload old .xls documents to Sharepoint we get an unspecified Sharepoint error. When we create new documents and attempt to upload them, it works fine...no errors. Has anyone seen this type of behavior before? We can also no save changes made to documents that are already posted.

Restoring an entire exchange database from .bkf files

I believe that the only way you can restore to the mailbox level is if the backup job was ran with the granular restore option selected. I am assuming you probably do not know if this feature was turned on when that job was ran but the way you can tell is by expanding the Information Store in...

    Granular Restore - Exchange

Thanks for replying guys. Steveot...yes the name is unique. Ouzojd....I have read something similar to that but when speaking to Symantec, they did advise I should be able to run it from tape or in my case a VTL. As far as restoring to a different location first, we can't get to the mailbox...

BackUp Exec not showing correct capacity for LTO tapes

After running a quick erase job on a number of 200 GB LTO tapes we had in our robotic library, the capacity only shows as 17.8 GB. Now any tape we import shows only as having 17.8 GB of capacity. Has anyone experienced a situation such as this? I'm not sure if this a BackUp Exec issue or an...
