Using IMAP4 protocol

We are trying to use IMAP 4 protocol in an Exchange cluster environment. We have created the resource and virtual server instance. We have granted access to the correct server. We have enabled the IMAP feature on the mailbox. When trying to establish a connection, authentication fails. User names and password being tried are correct.

You have to make sure that the IMAP service is actually running. It's easy to overlook. I've done it several times.

The services are running. I assume that the services need to be running on both nodes of the cluster to work. Maybe I will try restarting them to see if that helps.

Any other ideas?
