Using Backup Exec 8.6 on Windows 2000.
I have the Remote Agent installed on a second Win 2K server which runs Exchange.
I have a job set up to use the Remote Agent on the Exchange server to back up C, D, Information Store, Mailboxes, and System State.
95% of the time these jobs fail when getting to System State with the error:
Unable to attach to System?State
Access is denied.
I've looked all over and none of the solutions presented on the web are of any use. Randomly one of these backups will be able to get the system state, but 95% of the time it gets access is denied.
If I browse the backup selections, I can access the system state, no issues there. If I back up the system state ALONE, it works fine.
So, since there is probably no solution to this, I'm wondering if anyone knows of a way to change the order of the way things are backed up. Perhaps, if I got the System State first, it would work.
