Has anyone networked an Avaya CM 6.0 with Modualar Messeging to a CS1K-MG release 3. I need to be able to light the MWI on the M39XX phones on the CS1K and their mail box is on the Avaya MM. Avaya has a doc that came out 3/2010 stating with Qsig PRI trunks from the Meridian CS1K release 4...
I have and Option 81C Release 3.0 with 1000 ISM for Analog stations with 400 of them unused. I would like to convert 500 of the 1000 analog ISM's to Class ISM's. When I have the keycode loaded what happens to the 100 analog station I have program that are now using Class ISM's?
In the old system (SL1's) when you programmed new sets it used Protected Data (PDATA) and Unprotected Data (UDATA) as you deleted sets you would have the data was re-allocated to UDATA and PDATA and you would end up with some unassigned DATA. It would require an INI to take the unassigned data...
nhphoneguy Thanks - My Nortel engineer was surprised of your suggestion but fully understood it. He also added that Nortel does not support it. Boy am I surprised :-)
Has anyone seen or has a copy of an Nortel document that describes the need to perform an INI every 3 to 6 months on a 81C or a document that states when a INI is necessary?
We are looking to tie the CS1000e call servers into an external Global Clocking source. We are just using a GPS system to access the Global clock. Has anyone done this before?
I am looking to find out how to interface GPS clocking source to a CS1000E system. Has anybody done this? If so could you provide me any good docs or point me in the right direction.
does anyone know where i can get a blank 1140e database template. I am setting up 700 new users and I need to fill them out with name, extension, location, IP address, CPG, hunting,ext........and of course a place for the department head to sign off on the information. I searched old postings...

When you press "0" on the Meridian Mail voice menu does it dial "0" or does it dial another extension? If it dials another extension is hunting set up? If "0" goes to the console (2250) might it be in a night mode when you get that recording? Just some area's to look at.
I was saying don't let the call roll over to you voice mail box. Answer the call then transfer it to the dummy voice mail box with the greeting of "You have reached the Sacramento Police Department..." The caller will most likely get spooked and my not call back again.
Why transfer to the Police. set up a voicemail box and record the greeting "You have reached the Sacramento Police Department..." See if that works. The caller should not be able to tell the difference.
With Nortels upgrades this one may be a two step upgrade. First you may need to upgrade to a 1000M rls 3.0 then onto the 1000E rls. 5. When you order your upgrade package from your vendor the package will include all hardware, software, and step by step doc's (rls 5 NTP CD's). Ask your vendor...
Go to your 1-800 provider and ask what DNIS digits they are sending when the 800 numbers are called. Then start with the DNB's to follow where they go. IDC tables, ACD "Q's" phantom extension or just phones.
Most contracts have some type of statement like that "true up". Look and see how they priced out your current contract. # Of TN's, trunks, VM ports, CRT, and OTM......ect cost per month per item. Most partners will do a current inventory then give you a per month cost. The yearly true covers all...
When you press key 4 and the MM ask you for your mail box followed by the # (218#) then ask for your password. If you are calling from your own phone all you need to do is press # and with auto logon enabled on that mail box then you will no need to put in you pin/password. But now everyone can...
Most of the problems with disconnects on loop start trunks happens when you connect the calls to other peripherals. Voice Mails, IVRs, Call Center systems, trunk transfers, and even modems. I have alway gone by a rule of thumb.. That loop start trunks are for key systems and ground start are for...
When you stat the card and it shows all TN's logged in when an agent is in a not ready status they are looged into the Que. Thats why when you stat the card it shows them as logged in.
The MUS TN and the CFLP need to be in the same multigroup. I don't have the chart in front of me but is Loop 52 (mus TN) and CFLP 15 in the same multigroup?
