The crossover doesn't give me a link status, well to be honest I am not sure if it is a currently cross over or not, because its a wall box to RJ45 lead, so I rewired the wallbox to the opposite of what it currently is. Which makes the lead to the switch a cross over lead. I don't know if the...
Will try this in the morning, you didn't say if the info I sent through was good bad or lacking. Are you by any chance waiting for the results of the crossover test before you comment. Just curious because I am still unsure of the results from IODDP, why doesn't NET and NET2 report IN SERVICE?
I can't answer because the cable is connected to the NIU through a fancy block type connector, and on the other end there is an RJ45 crimped to it. This goes directly into the Switch.
Here are the details you asked for...

Hi,
It took about so long to get our network admins to answer the call I logged but there is good news,
I have had the port configured, accordingly, but it does not work. Actually it still does the same. I have a stack of info to send through but the problem is I had to take screen shots to...
I have tested by plugging the MD110 and the server into a decated isolated switch, the same problem occurs, I don't think this is a network related issue. even if I just connect the MD110 by itself to the switch I get a link status (Link LED is on) but no activity (Activity LED off)
Thank you for all the input guys,
I have managed to restart the NIU, however I get a short burst of between one and three ping replies. Having a good solid networking background I assume there is a service/setting which is conflicting causing the NIU not to work.
Does any one know what I can...
Thanks for the reply,
It does not work for the the following reason:
<RFBOI:BPOS=...;
RFBOI:BPOS...;
SURE? (YES/NO)
<YES;
NOT ACCEPTED
FORMAT ERROR

Is there another way or a problem with the command?
Thanks for that note,
I resolved the loss of all my analog extensions. They are back now that I have switched the node back to BC11.
Thanks that very usefull info.
Nope, (I am not sure I understand you) heres what we have: we have a modem on the server and another connected to the IPU and we remote over the extentions to connect....? :(

There must be some corruption here of some sort because in the
extention manager there is reference to BC12, I will quickly see if I can find where I saw that and get back to you.
Sorry there is a typo about, we can't connect usiing the NIU, We are dialing in via remote connection.
I am also not familiar with the IPU and don't really knwo how to set it up using the modem!?
Thanks for the response,
I have the install files on the server, The version on the server is DNA 5.1 SP1.
We are only using EMG and MD110 Support with the default progs like user manager etc..
Our server is setup with the Desktop version of SQL included on the DNA 5.1 Media.
To throw a...
Greetings,
I am not sure I fully understand the DNA 5.1 technical Guide with regard to this topic. So I hope someone here can describe this a bit better.
Under the Heading:
Transferring D.N.A. from one computer to another
Since I will use the existing media which was used last time the server...
I see what you mean, the server is is an especially old peace of P2 hardware, and as a result of certain near death experiences for it, it has been formatted and redone accordingly overtime.
I have no idea how the previous chaps did this, what I do know is that I now have a new P4 machine which...
