Hi mookie,
Try this link. The system manager manuals should help.

Steve
I need some help. Yesterday our Octel 350 unexpectedly restarted. I see in the status log when it rebooted, but I haven't been able to find the reason code. Any help would be appreciated. Status log posted below.

Nevermind. I found that some of the Cortelco phones have a 24v-90v switch. This allows me to use the LED setting on the station form when this is set to 24v.
Help! We just migrated several users from an NEC IPX system to our Avaya switch. They had message waiting indicators on Cortelco analog phones that worked on the NEC but don't work on the Avaya. We're thinking that the phones may use either FSK signaling or neon, because it doesn't work on the...

OzzieGeorge,
Oh how I would prefer not to struggle! We are waiting to hear from the "powers that be" to see if we can change the operator access code as you suggested, but for political and other reasons, that may not be possible.
So for the not so simple answer, can you direct me to the...
I am asking this on behalf of an NEC administrator, so bear with me.
Is the a way to have extensions starting with with 0 (ex: 01058) and an attendant/operator on an NEC2400 IPX system?
With Avaya and other systems this is possible by using a feature called inter-digit timeout.
Thanks.
Thanks KenMeans,
I really appreciate your help!
I had read over CN 4015 a couple of times. What I am wondering is this:
1)what card to use in the NEC, and
2)what the settings on the card would be.
I work with Avaya switches mostly, but am starting to support a site that has an NEC 2400...
I am trying to figure out how to connect a NEC 2400 to an Octel 350 using T1 TIC's. What card do I need on the NEC side to connect to the TIC's? On the NEC, do I assign the T1 ports the station?
Avaya's config notes are extremely vague.
I have a legacy IVR system that used to be connected to an Avaya switch using SMDI integration via a VoiceBridge unit. Now we want to connect it to an NEC 2400 IPX system, but I'm not sure how the NEC MCI integration works. I have found a VoiceBridge unit for NEC(model VB-205) online and am just...
Thanks Simreal,
Right now we are getting "OOS/FE-PINS-idle" state on the Avaya side using NI-2 protocol. Here's the Avaya DS1 settings. We've tried various interface settings of peer-master/slave & network/user.

The way you described it is the same we way I have it. I get "invalid logon, mailbox number please".
Sorry for the confusion. I'm used to Octel that would tell you the number "is not a recognized mailbox".
Guess Mod Mess doesn't do that?
