I am getting the message "Could not delete from specified tables" when I try to run a simple delete query.
This query returns 1 row when I run it as a select query.
ANy ideas?
I definitely closed the database. I even re-booted my pc. I donot have auto compact and repair. I do a compact and repair about once a week. Its really strange, because I VPN from home when I arrive at home, and the LDB had a different time. At that point, I just loaded the application and then...
Confused about the lock file behavior. I noticed a lock file tonite when I was leaving the office. The users said they all closed out of the app. I looked at the lock file and my pc was the one in the file. I did not have the app open. When I got home, I checked the situation again, the lock...
We have a read-only version of a database that they give to certain people. The save btn as well as some other things have limited functionality.
Problem is now there are two versions to keep in sync.
How do any of you deal with a situation such as this.
And setting the property to read only is...
Without going into a lot of detail, I fixed the problem.
Originally it was a check box within an option group...but I changed the control to a radio button.
My user would like to tag their account records as a type 1 Or type 2 Or type 3. I originally set this up as an Option Group (with checkboxes) and stored the value "1" or "2" or "3" into a text field in the table. However, the fields on the form are checkboxes and this is causing some havoc with...
I have a user with a table of 210,000 rows. She exported it into EXCEL and received only 16,000 rows. I thought Excel would convert 64,000 at a time.
Should she copy from Access and paste into Excel????
Does she have to do it in increments????
A manager has requested that I password protect a report.
They don't want the other users to see it. Off the top of my head I am not sure how to accomplish this.
Is there a good way to do this.
Does anyone know if the new version will address compacting and repair. For instance, if you delete a table will the database automatically handle that bloat issue.
Any improvements on the corruption issues....
Thanks
It works on some computers and some it does not? One of the sites we work with have a testing room with 17 computers and all of a sudden this error comes up on one of our apps, but it works fine on other computers in the room and throughout the building. Any ideas?
I would like to load a directory containing all the excel files and have the user be able to select the appropriate file and click on it to open....
Is there an easy way to accomplish this? OR a sample piece of code to do this task.
Is there a way to create option check boxes without going thru the wizard. I have inherited an existing app where there is a series of check boxes BUT the user wants to be able to select only 1....Is there an easy way to do this.... The app is OOP, and its difficult to maintain.
I have been using Access to query our mainframe DB2 tables. This works pretty well, but we would like to know if IBM-DB2 has some kind of front-end for developing queries.
So, essentially it is a waste. Microsoft should have put that energy into Access. My department uses PDF forms for a variety of cases, sometimes they come to me to do changes.
Sometimes modifying a radio button in a pdf can be an experience, that's one reason I am looking at InfoPath.
We might...
I am doing an evaluation of the benefits and issues with Infopath. It may be useful for our organization, I would like to hear how and what you like about it and what you dislike. Thanks
On my home machine I have Office Pro and use Outlook as my email client. Outlook has a feature when you begin a new email and type a letter in the "To" box, you get a list of everyone you have sent an email to that begins with that letter. How can I remove some of those names? I get the...
