Question on rules (filters) on Contivity 1100

Hi Andy, Thanks again Yes, I think I understand correctly. Rule called "allow proxy" is as follow: outbound allow ip 10.x.x.x (ip of the web proxy) protocol TCP Port 80 as for the established or "don't care", I leave it at "don't care" I put this new rule ahead of the "deny all port 80"...

Question on rules (filters) on Contivity 1100

Thanks Andy The "permit all" filter is in use, applied to my LAN interface. I am adding the rules to that filter. The first rule in the filter is "permit all in" Then there is a "deny http out" rule I created, blocking port 80 then there is a "permit all out" after that rule. I created...

Question on rules (filters) on Contivity 1100

There is already a "permit all in" filter applied to the interface, so that should take care of that requirement, I would think. It seems like all packets get applied against all filters, rather than stopping at the first match, which is contrary to what I am used to, when dealing with firewall...

Question on rules (filters) on Contivity 1100

Thanks for the reply. I tried that, with the same result. Another possibility - On the contivity 1100, is it possible to set a single PC in a DMZ? That would work as well. I've looked through it, and so far come up with nothing

Question on rules (filters) on Contivity 1100

Hello, I am trying to set up a transparent web proxy behind a Contivity 1100. I have put a filter in place stating that port 80 is denied for all going OUT. I want to now allow JUST the IP of the web proxy to access port 80, without giving anyone else access. I've tried: - A filter allowing...

thanks for the reply. Check the linked thread in the first post, there are images of the BCM Monitor report there. I can make much sense of them.

Programming A Destination Code to pick up a Line on a remote BCM

Thanks guys. Unfortunately, both methods yield the same result. Prime set on BCM2 ringing, and eventually going to voicemail. In fact, just dialing the "89" gets me that result. Never mind the number that follows.

Programming A Destination Code to pick up a Line on a remote BCM

Hello everyone This is a continuation of a thread I started almost 2 years ago: thread1361-1280875 I am back at the remote site, and I am trying to finish this up. I am at the same point as before. BCM1 is programmed as follows: Created destination code "8". This destination code points to...

    Tie Shift Buzzer into Page

4.0 only? Darn. That is unfortunate. Is it a big cost to upgrade 3.7 to 4.0? A better question, I guess is: Is the upgrade from 3.7 to 4.0 worth it, overall?

    Tie Shift Buzzer into Page

Thanks a lot. Any idea what software revision I need to be running, where I can get the app or what cost(s) are involved (roughly, for the keycode) Currently running 3.7 build 2.4f Thanks again!

    Tie Shift Buzzer into Page

Hello all, Is there any way, with the BCM400 - to program some sort of timer buzzer into the page system? I want to have a shift change/break buzzer for the plant floor, and as the paging system technically has everything required, I was wondering if there was some way to program that into...

Block Speaker Paging on a Set?

Thanks for the reply! Currently everyone's page zone is set to "none" and the page button on phones is set to "Page-General" So I need to set these phones to Page Zone 2, and change everyone's paging button to be a zone page, and select Zone 1? Am I correct, or am I missing something? Thanks...

Block Speaker Paging on a Set?

Hello all, I have a BCM400 and it's been great. I have a need to disable the set paging on a few sets. What I mean, is that when someone pages over the set speakers, I need to make a couple sets not allow it through (like in the VPs office, etc) Where/how would I go about this? I did a search...

VOIP Issue, problem occurs only 1 way.

All fixed. Turned out that the Cisco PXE at the Canada side was using it's "fixup" command on the traffic coming OUT of Canada. The slight alteration it makes to the stream was not being recognized by the Asia BCM. I turned it off and bammo - all works perfectly. I figured it had to be...

Programming A Destination Code to pick up a Line on a remote BCM

Yep. I just assumed that because this BCM was a new install it would be up to date. I guess the vendors do things differently here.

Programming A Destination Code to pick up a Line on a remote BCM

I can do, but it will take some time. I just noticed that the vendor for BCM1 in Asia failed to apply any patches to the BCM when it was installed a couple months ago. It's still at 3.7 with no patches. So, I'm going to have to have a word with them (through an interpreter) and at least get...

I believe the control set is the reception desk, but it's night there right now, so night service (auto attendant) is on. Yep. just checked. Control set for VOIP lines is reception desk.
