Cisco CallManager Express - Version 3.3
Hi, Super comfortable with Avaya, new to CME, I'm sure this is possible just can't get it to work, I have a client who wants the ability to have a single DID/Extension that will ring on two phones simultaneously and can be answered on either, when phone A...
Yeah right, thanks Phoneguy55, I got the first part of that story when it went down the first time in '08 but not the follow up, pity it was a good resource and like posters have said in IAUG it was complimentary to Avaya's official info and yes I think also Avaya website has got prettier but...
Lamenting the loss of a great resource, don't often go there, last time was over 2 years ago, appears Jaymzworld is no more? The root site redirects to Gator Vault, I guess I'll try to create a login and see what happens. Jaymzter last on Tek Tips Halloween 2011, if you're still out there...
Thought it may be worthwhile having a FAQ on USB to Serial Adaptors since laptops with serial are getting few and far between.
What I'm hoping to see is a list of USB Serial adaptors by Make and Model SW/FW version and OS that have been proven to work with Avaya kit?
Secret solved
Avaya Com code 700406267
I cracked open the case hoping to find some info, nada on the board but the drive itself is Panasonic UL-870.
Googled 'external usb dvd drive with battery' returned a hit for DIGISTOR
The code on the bottom of the 'Avaya' one is DIG-73322-AVA
Put 2 and 2...
FBONCASCREEN can be anywhere in the 46xxsettings, cut the settings file down to the specific settings you require and delete the rest so it's easier to manage.
Idle features codes are in the CM5.2 docs, the one below does "Directory, Next, Make Call, Redial"
##
SET IDLEFEATURES "26,13,16,1000"...
346pt, your correct, I'd just get reception to say to the customer they're on the phone and put them through, the recipient can decide if they want to ignore it and let it go to voicemail.
IE8 throws up a certificate security warning every time, haven't worked out a way around it yet, just an extra button click to get where I want to be but annoying. Seems developers these days want you to use the mouse.
What about a shriek suppression device such as Polaris Soundshield or Polycom Soundguard, these clip the upper level frequencies and in the case of the Soudshield are configurable.
Your right inerguard, this isn't the way we do it but it was the quickest and simplest to get telm9 writing a vector.
We use vdn variables and loop counts, the problem if you simply say loop continuously is if you have a caller decide to be nasty and put the phone down and walk away they tie up...
That's a simple question with a lot of answers.
You can use variables, holiday tables, time of day tables etc. Start reading Avaya Communication Manager Advanced Administration quick reference guide in the CM5.2 documents.
Simply it can be as follows but can be a lot more complex but a lot more...
Does anyone know if you can remove the Bridged appearances from the front screen?
If you have say 3 line appearances and 8 bridged appearances, the last 2 bridged appearances don't appear on the front screen anyway. If you dial one of the extensions at bridged appearance 7 or 8, the screen...
Use a vdn and vector.
Point 1 of the cover path is the PA's number, point 2 is the VDN v1234.
In the vector.
Step 1- messaging for skill (hunt goroup number of voicemail) for extension active.
eg 01 messaging skill 99 for extension active
will send it back to the bosses voicemail.
The Email Address on the voicemail server doesn't appear to matter, in fact it can be blank.
Try this, it works for Audix, haven't tested on IA770/CMM but I will, don't have S8400 though, only 8300.
Check the Permissions on the vmb specifically IMAPI Message Transfer (unsure if this affects)...
SAW164,
Can you explain or show config for Next Path Linkage, mine don't work, it stops at point 6, I've obviously got a feature turned off. I think Sys-params coverage is correct, maybe something else. I'm trying to hit a continuous loop until answered so cp 1 links to cp 2 and cp 2 links to cp...

SF0751,
You have 2 coverage paths linked to each other, I have the same setup but my call ends at point 6 of the first coverage path. It doesn't flow over to the linked coverage path so I don't get an endless loop until answered. Can you confirm yours actually hits both...
