I am guessing you have IA770/CMM as the voicemail for this system. You may setup an IMAP mailbox in your email client.
Extension and Password will be your "Username / Password"
IP Address of the S8400 would be the server address where IMAP will get messages.
If you do this a lot for several mailboxes there is a middle ware type application called 'Pop Beamer' that will interrogate several mailbox and forward anything it finds to an SMTP mail server. The software is free to download and play with and has a 30 trial before you would need to purchase a license. I set it up on my laptop while learning it. This is also true for IA770/CMM on S8300 as well or anywhere it might be living.
Thanks so much for responding to my question. Yes, we have a IA770... when I get into a subscriber I can see the option 'Email Address: then the extension number @ and S8400PBX. ' i.e '5555@S8400PBX.' it is not '.com' or so... I tried to setup a IMAP, enter extension as username and password.. but didn't work, for e-mail address I entered '5555@S8400PBX.com'... do I need to change that email address?, do I need to do some other changes in the S8400 server itself?
The Email Address on the voicemail server doesn't appear to matter, in fact it can be blank.
Try this, it works for Audix, haven't tested on IA770/CMM but I will, don't have S8400 though, only 8300.
