My recollection is that is how I installed the printers in the first place (it may have been with the older JetAdmin software). I will try it with Web JetAdmin and see what happens.
I installed a new server and installed NT 4 on the new server. Using the same printers and software. I am thinking it has something to do with the HP Port I installed on the new server. I read somewhere to NOT use the "HP Standard TCP/IP Printer Port" and instead use the "Standard TCP/IP...
I recently upgraded our server hardware but kept NT 4 and our HP 4000TN Printers. All were working fine before upgrading the server hardware. Since the upgrade the printer ques jamm up if you send a second print job to the printer before the first one finishes printing. Once it jams you have...
Good to know, particularly coming from the NT 4.0 world. I recall reading somewhere about the intricacies of configuring ISA manager and how it is somewhat complicated. It sounded like there was more to it than the wizards. But again, I haven't worked with it before, thus the comment about...
Thanks for the tip. I was kind of thinking along that line and look at several firewall appliances in the last day or so. I just finished purchasing the Zyxel, Zywall 5 with Unified Threat Management (with the turbo expansion card). It looks like it is very robust and has a lot...
Yes. But my real question is about selection of a firewall solution. The server is a web server and exchange server. There is nothing else on it. The other computers on the lan are my personal network, not business. The lan is behind a wireless access point/firewall/DHCP server. I don't...
I am probably using the wrong term (DMZ). If you read the rest of the question I think you will see that I am asking about possible firewall solutions.
Strange. I am running Exchange 5.5 with many many email domains off one static IP address and have never had any problem with mail being rejected. Is this issue unique to SBS 2003, or ?? If not, how will this affect small ISP's hosting multiple domains?
I am just getting ready to upgrade to SBS 2003 premium. I intend to run the web server and exchange server from this box. I have a firewall which my lan is behind. I am wondering about firewall solutions for the SBS box. I want to leave the lan behind the existing firewall, and put the SBS...
Nah, it prints fine until except through windows and microsoft. I think it is a driver related issue, or some setting somewhere which I need to change.
Yes, it is on a surge supressor and UPS. HP is sending me a new printer. Hopefully that will solve the problem and it's not an inherent problem with this model.
PS. HP's solution is to reboot the printer. Unfortunately, that only solves the problem for a day or so before it blue screens again. HP says it is because "the printer has an internal condition" (my interpretation is that it has garbage inside the box). Here is a link to their "solution"...
I recently purchased a HP Photosmart 3300. It has wireless capability, but I hard wired it into my router. Works fine for a couple days and then the LCD panel blue screens with some cryptic error message (numbers etc...). HP's solution was to reboot the printer and "keep these instructions on...
I have the HP Designjet 650C. From the front panel the test page prints fine. I installed the latest driver for the unit and attempted to print a test page through Windows XP from the printer properties page. I can tell that it is printing the Windows Print Test Page, but it is printing black...
